As of 1 July 2016 The City of Edinburgh Council now only provide a repair and maintenance service to stair lighting in blocks where the council owns properties.

A new partnership aimed at helping people with dementia has been set up by Scotland Trusted Trader and Alzheimer Scotland.
Councillor Ricky Henderson, said: "This new partnership complements our anti-stigma initiative, which aims to encourage people to be more aware of people who live with dementia." read more
Over the past few months, I have been working with Alzheimer’s Scotland to allow our Trusted Trader members to carry the Dementia Friends logo on completion of a basic awareness course.
The course is about awareness of dementia and treating sufferers or those you suspect may be suffering from dementia with sensitivity and respect. read more
There is now another way to find a Scotland Trusted Trader. Residents can now call a dedicated number, 0131 513 9921 between 8 am and 11 pm, seven days a week and get help finding the trader they need.
It has been set up following Edinburgh residents’ feedback and consultations with Edinburgh Trading Standards. read more

2015 marks a special year for Trusted Trader, as it is 10 years since the launch of the official Trading Standards Trusted Trader scheme.

A free prize draw competition was held at this year's Chartered Trading Standards Institutes annual conference at Bournemouth, by Trusted Directory Services who host and manage the Scotland Trusted Trader scheme. read more
Today, Scottish Trusted Traders – the endorsement scheme for traders who provide home improvements and repairs or vehicle repairs and servicing, such as plumbers, electricians, decorators and garages - has joined Ombudsman Services. read more
