Greig from Torus really cares about his work - he's knowledgable and passionate about the quality of the finish. Thoroughly professional, he is friendly and a good communicator - so easy to discuss the work with. He was really good at explaining options in what turned out to be a much bigger project than anticipated, due to underlying flaws which were hidden by much older 'repairs' (flaws which Greig, when he gave his original assesment, had warned us might be revealed once work started). Always punctional, from sending us the original quote through to providing revised estimates and arriving on site - we were never left waiting and wondering. Overall, the standard of work was very high and to our complete satisfaction. I would strongly recommend contacting Torus Stonecraft if you care about the quality of work being carried out on your property.

Greig is a truly professional tradesman, a rarity nowadays. Communication was excellent and he takes a real pride in his work.

The work was well planned and completed on time, Greig and his colleague were very personable in performing their work. really pleased with the finsihed job, Greig has blended the new stone work very well with the existing masonry. Took time to describe the work he had undertaken. (Didn't have any other quotes to compare against hence 4/5 on value as I don't have reference).

It was a simple job, replacing an old plastic repair to a chimneyhead. Greig was very easy to deal with, and did the job quickly and tidied up beautifully. Can't really vouch for value for money because it was too small a job to get another estimate.

The minute I met with Greg I knew I wanted him to do the sand stone repair job on my Victorian mews building in Edinburgh West End. He is a very knowledgeable stonemason and a good guy. When his quote came in it was a little more expensive than the other but I felt it was worth it as I immediately trusted him to do a quality job which he did. His communication throughout the job was excellent and I would highly recommend him for an stone repairs.

Torus repointed both sides of a large boundary wall and refurbished the sandstone pillars at the property entrance. Greig was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and hardworking. His work has enhanced the property and indeed the look of the whole street. The use of lime mortar in contrast to concrete, lovingly and painstakingly applied, is a joy to behold.

Torus cleaned up the front of the house via pressure hose and scrubbing. Loose pointing was drilled out and replaced. The work was done efficiently. No time was wasted and any mess was cleaned up later.

Greig, the stonemason was polite and informative throughout the process, although communication by email was quite slow (due to a busy work schedule). He is highly recommended.

Torus quoted for a project and when the project did not go ahead issued an unsolicited invoice outwith any agreement, furthermore this unsolicited invoice was issued immediately after the death of the client (my father). While other suppliers to the job waited patiently until the appropriate point to issue an invoice, Torus blundered on with an incomprehensible level of insensitivity. Chasing the unsolicited invoice through a third party repeatedly during the immediate weeks after my fathers death.
I would think very carefully about who else might be able to quote for the work before engaging Torus.
