Absolutely delighted with our retractable awning! Looks great. From Kevin coming to price and advise what would be best for our needs to the installation team everyone was great. I ordered shutters and venetian blinds in January 2020 and had the initial lead time of 8-12 weeks for the shutters. We managed to have the venetians installed on the 21/2 by a sole lady installer, and no issues here at all. She was tidy, polite and quick at quite a big install.

Obviously, through no fault of the company, Covid 19 struck, and our timeframe was delayed.

We were awaiting the shutters as they came from China, and factories over there would be affected.

Finally, we were advised install could take place 8/5.

When install day came, we were really excited. The initial lady installer arrived with a man installer and set to work on my living room and front facing bedrooms.
Covid measures were in place, both wearing masks and we left them isolated in the rooms they needed to be in.

Unfortunately, when the installers left, we noticed a large score in the left shutter in the living room with a wet white residue (?paint, going by a small tub of white liquid left behind) with what looked like a repair attempt was made. We were not made aware of this at all as we were observing social distancing and were not able to look at the workmanship before they left. We were left feeling quite miffed.

I contacted Wilma, who was apologetic and explained for a replacement, we'd need a shutter to come again from China.

This took many weeks and finally when it came, I was rebooked in for 14/10.

Unfortunately, the team arrived without the shutter needed to fix my damaged one, so a wasted day off. I contacted the company and we rescheduled again, this time for today (09/11)

Today I am really annoyed. 2 of your team arrived (one being the man from the shutter install in May and a younger man), both not wearing masks.
I departed to my dining room to not be around when the work was being done.
I was advised it was finished, and came into my living to find 3 men now, none of which wearing masks and all with their shoes on, which have left mud on my carpet.
The 3rd man who wasn't there when I initially answered the door reached to pet my dog, and I explained to him I was asthmatic and feeling uncomfortable, he reacted rudely.

They then left.

I just feel, given the length of time this whole process has taken, and given the fact the delays were caused by the ongoing pandemic, your staff could be a bit more mindful entering the house of a single female, which can be intimidating. Not wearing masks puts me at risk and also trailing mud into my house is just disrespectful.

I also feel if your staff are exempt from wearing masks, this should be communicated to me in advance to give me the opportunity to wait for a member of staff who could wear a mask, given I have a health issue that would make me more at risk from Covid 19.

I'm really saddened by this whole process, from today's experience to the whole 10 months of interactions. I was looking to get blinds in my upstairs back bedrooms once I decided what to go for, but will not be returning to ESC unfortunately.

Shutters fitted in bedroom. They were delivered on time and fitted by Aggie & Jamie who did an excellent job. Would definitely use them again.

The Edinburgh Shutter Company supplied shutters for two windows. The varied choice of style, colour and finishings is excellent. The company fitted the shutters within the timescales they advised when they estimated the work. Aggie and Jamie fitted the shutters and their workmanship and professionalism is first class.

The shutters are really high quality and add elegance to my rooms. Shutters fitted on all windows apart from patio doors which had aluminium blinds fitted. Aggie and Jamie arrived on time and got to work right away. They were very friendly and professional. Everything was cleared away before they left and all shutters and blinds checked to my satisfaction. Service given from start to finish was excellent. Just had the shutters fitted ,and excellent service from your team ,clean ,tidy , polite and friendly, I will be ordering one for our bedroom so impressed.

Over the last 10 yrs I have, on three separate occasions, had shutters fitted in three rooms, two of which had two windows in the room.
While I was satisfied with the quality and effectiveness of the product, on the two previous occasions, I have never felt the need to make time to write a review before.
However, yesterday I had another two shutters fitted in our back bedroom and I really felt the need to write this review.
Aggie and Jamie left previous tradesmen at the starting line, in terms of taking a pride in their work and being great ambassadors for their company, nothing was too much bother. Even although Jamie said he was new to the job, there was no sign of that in the job he did and Aggie was so skilled and clearly highly knowledgeable and experienced, I could not rate her more highly. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to both. The shutters raised the temperature of the room a very short time after they left. Many thanks for a first class job. This standard of work deserves recognition.

Shutters fitted on windows in lounge and 2 bedrooms. Very friendly and professional staff. Wilma in the office was extremely helpful over the phone and Aggie and Jamie did a fantastic job at fitting the shutters. The shutters are of a exemplary quality and really finish off the rooms. Had shutters and black out blinds fitted in my children’s bedrooms and the service was excellent. The initial visit to get a quote was super and it was clear they knew what they were talking about. They were able to advise and gave great suggestions. Any phone calls with the company to arrange a time for installation were great, really friendly and accommodating. The tradesmen who then fitted the shutters were brilliant. Arrived nice and early and I was able to leave them to it for a few hours and then the job was done. Cleaned up everything behind them and took time to explain to me how everything worked. Fantastic service, would happily use them again!

Excellent service from start to finish.
From showroom to pre order visit for estimate etc all staff were knowledgeable and explained all aspects of delivery, materials used and fitting of shutters very clearly.
The fitters Aggie and Jamie were very professional in the way the carried out the fitting.
