Once materials arrived and a date set, Aggy and Jamie duly arrived late on a Saturday evening to fit my shutters. I believe they were working weekends to address the backlog, which is creditable.

Both were extremely polite, worked diligently and left a beautiful finish. The house was spotless after they left too. I'd have no hesitation in placing future business with the ESC Ltd and can't praise their fitters Aggy and Jamie enough.

We moved into our house in Dunfermline at the end of January which had old brown venetian blinds throughout. Having seen plantation shutters in Australia in our son's house we were keen to have these installed throughout our house. This involved shutters on four sets of bay windows, several other windows and at the patio doors. We chose white shutters and were given helpful advice on the appropriate size of the louvres for our windows. We also got helpful advice on what would work best in front of the patio doors.

Two teams arrived on Friday 18th June getting finished by mid-afternoon. We are very pleased by the new shutters that give a clean bright look to the rooms. They have now been up for two weeks and we remain delighted by them.

Recently had shutters and blinds supplied and fitted by the Edinburgh Shutter Company. From start to finish we received an excellent service, from the initial measurement to final installation the communication was first class. The fitters, Rab, Jay and Stevie carried out a thoroughly professional job on the day and cleaned up after they had finished. The finished product looks much better than we had envisaged and we are delighted. A very competitive price and great product. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for shutters or blinds.

We thought we had done our homework and got 3 companies to quote, however, the sales person from ESCo was definitely the most professional and provided a wealth of additional knowledge helping us make the right choice of materials, openings, finish and gave us an hones insight into the shutter marketplace. Thanks to him we went for full height shutters on all rooms instead of cafe style - which would have been a false economy (trying to save money). This professionalism and honesty was mirrored from the staff in the office and the fitting team of Stevie and Jay (always asked if they wanted us to take their shoes off when entering the house) who also noticed a manufacturer fault in the openings of one of the shutters. They immediately called the office and full replacement shutter unit was ordered FOC and now has been fitted to replace the wrong one so we were never without the full set of shutters. They weren't the cheapest nor in fact the most expensive quote we had had for solid wood shutters, however, it was well worth the peace of mind by dealing with a fulltime shutter company/team. The finish across 2 large bay windows and an office at the front of the house, plus, a bathroom at the back of the house were actually beyond our expectations and money well spent. We would highly recommend you at least talk to them when considering shutters.

We had two sets of bifold plantation shutters fitted to our garden room extension.
We already had exterior bifold doors fitted but the amount of sun getting through was difficult to regulate with simple roller blinds.

The process is lengthy as you have to book a site visit to have measurements taken to avoid costly mistakes of self measurement.
After ordering it takes up to 8/10 weeks for manufacturing and delivery.
We were fortunate enough to get ours earlier and the fitting team arrived bang on time and date arranged.
The fitting was painless and perfect. The fitters( Steve and Rab) worked relentlessly and were extremely considerate and safe throughout.
The clean the whole area after installation and you wouldn’t know they had been there.

Edinburgh Shutter Company have fitted shutters in the bedrooms and bathrooms to our new build. A little delay completing the job with the COVID restrictions, but couldn't be happier with the product and service. Finishes off the rooms beautifully.

We had an electric, remote controlled awning fitted in a patio area.

First class work carried out in a thoroughly professional and friendly manner.

All done to time and as per estimate (no nasty surprises) which, during difficulties all businesses have suffered during covid, was nothing short of miraculous!

We had shutters installed in two main bedrooms. We are very pleased with the results. Aggie and Jamie installed them for us. They were excellent. Helpful, polite and did a great job.

We are delighted with our shutters. The measurement and consultation process was easy and we had a lot of guidance and choice. The fitters were professional and did a brilliant job, leaving the place immaculate afterwards and giving us some tips on how to look after our shutters.

Stevie and Jay were very efficient, polite, friendly and professional. They arrived on time, worked non-stop until the work was completed and it was completed to an extremely high level. Tidied up as they went along and every piece of packaging, cut offs, screw and nail was removed from my house and garden. Would not hesitate to recommend this company and Stevie and Jay in particular.

Oh my goodness this company have been amazing from the first call out to measure up and quote, to the fitters (Jay and oh sorry can’t remember the other name but they were fabulous, clean, tidy and great at their jobs). Thank you - I love my new blinds and will need to start saving to get the other windows done now.

Had shutters fitted around our home. We found Edinburgh Shutter Company very easy to deal with and they did not hard sell. Their design is beautiful and the shutters have worked brilliantly. They came on time to fit them and their work was to a really high standard. We were not expecting to love shutters so much.

Absolutely delighted with our retractable awning! Looks great. From Kevin coming to price and advise what would be best for our needs to the installation team everyone was great. I ordered shutters and venetian blinds in January 2020 and had the initial lead time of 8-12 weeks for the shutters. We managed to have the venetians installed on the 21/2 by a sole lady installer, and no issues here at all. She was tidy, polite and quick at quite a big install.

Obviously, through no fault of the company, Covid 19 struck, and our timeframe was delayed.

We were awaiting the shutters as they came from China, and factories over there would be affected.

Finally, we were advised install could take place 8/5.

When install day came, we were really excited. The initial lady installer arrived with a man installer and set to work on my living room and front facing bedrooms.
Covid measures were in place, both wearing masks and we left them isolated in the rooms they needed to be in.

Unfortunately, when the installers left, we noticed a large score in the left shutter in the living room with a wet white residue (?paint, going by a small tub of white liquid left behind) with what looked like a repair attempt was made. We were not made aware of this at all as we were observing social distancing and were not able to look at the workmanship before they left. We were left feeling quite miffed.

I contacted Wilma, who was apologetic and explained for a replacement, we'd need a shutter to come again from China.

This took many weeks and finally when it came, I was rebooked in for 14/10.

Unfortunately, the team arrived without the shutter needed to fix my damaged one, so a wasted day off. I contacted the company and we rescheduled again, this time for today (09/11)

Today I am really annoyed. 2 of your team arrived (one being the man from the shutter install in May and a younger man), both not wearing masks.
I departed to my dining room to not be around when the work was being done.
I was advised it was finished, and came into my living to find 3 men now, none of which wearing masks and all with their shoes on, which have left mud on my carpet.
The 3rd man who wasn't there when I initially answered the door reached to pet my dog, and I explained to him I was asthmatic and feeling uncomfortable, he reacted rudely.

They then left.

I just feel, given the length of time this whole process has taken, and given the fact the delays were caused by the ongoing pandemic, your staff could be a bit more mindful entering the house of a single female, which can be intimidating. Not wearing masks puts me at risk and also trailing mud into my house is just disrespectful.

I also feel if your staff are exempt from wearing masks, this should be communicated to me in advance to give me the opportunity to wait for a member of staff who could wear a mask, given I have a health issue that would make me more at risk from Covid 19.

I'm really saddened by this whole process, from today's experience to the whole 10 months of interactions. I was looking to get blinds in my upstairs back bedrooms once I decided what to go for, but will not be returning to ESC unfortunately.
