I ordered shutters and venetian blinds in January 2020 and had the initial lead time of 8-12 weeks for the shutters. We managed to have the venetians installed on the 21/2 by a sole lady installer, and no issues here at all. She was tidy, polite and quick at quite a big install.

Obviously, through no fault of the company, Covid 19 struck, and our timeframe was delayed.

We were awaiting the shutters as they came from China, and factories over there would be affected.

Finally, we were advised install could take place 8/5.

When install day came, we were really excited. The initial lady installer arrived with a man installer and set to work on my living room and front facing bedrooms.
Covid measures were in place, both wearing masks and we left them isolated in the rooms they needed to be in.

Unfortunately, when the installers left, we noticed a large score in the left shutter in the living room with a wet white residue (?paint, going by a small tub of white liquid left behind) with what looked like a repair attempt was made. We were not made aware of this at all as we were observing social distancing and were not able to look at the workmanship before they left. We were left feeling quite miffed.

I contacted Wilma, who was apologetic and explained for a replacement, we'd need a shutter to come again from China.

This took many weeks and finally when it came, I was rebooked in for 14/10.

Unfortunately, the team arrived without the shutter needed to fix my damaged one, so a wasted day off. I contacted the company and we rescheduled again, this time for today (09/11)

Today I am really annoyed. 2 of your team arrived (one being the man from the shutter install in May and a younger man), both not wearing masks.
I departed to my dining room to not be around when the work was being done.
I was advised it was finished, and came into my living to find 3 men now, none of which wearing masks and all with their shoes on, which have left mud on my carpet.
The 3rd man who wasn't there when I initially answered the door reached to pet my dog, and I explained to him I was asthmatic and feeling uncomfortable, he reacted rudely.

They then left.

I just feel, given the length of time this whole process has taken, and given the fact the delays were caused by the ongoing pandemic, your staff could be a bit more mindful entering the house of a single female, which can be intimidating. Not wearing masks puts me at risk and also trailing mud into my house is just disrespectful.

I also feel if your staff are exempt from wearing masks, this should be communicated to me in advance to give me the opportunity to wait for a member of staff who could wear a mask, given I have a health issue that would make me more at risk from Covid 19.

I'm really saddened by this whole process, from today's experience to the whole 10 months of interactions. I was looking to get blinds in my upstairs back bedrooms once I decided what to go for, but will not be returning to ESC unfortunately.
