I hired TT Construction Team in 2022 summer for whole property renovation and hire them again in 2026 Spring for the insulation work of an extension room above the garage. This review is for the insulation work done.
Gary, Denise and their team members are super friendly and responsive as usual. Gary came to have a look soon after I contacted them, and then provided a very detailed and clear quote. The quote listed out all the works, what's the method they will do, what kind and how many materials they will use. As a result, no un-welcome&shocking cost increasing happened.
Their members arrived on time, are very polite, keep the construction site as clean as possible, and the most important, they do the job well.
I will keep hiring TT Construction for my current and future property, and am confident to recommend them to anyone who needs a builder.

TT Construction rebuilt two bay dormer windows in the top floor of our house. We were given options so we could choose what suited our budget. Work was done in a timely fashion to a very high standard. I have no qualms about recommending TT Construction. They also completed a separate project to refurbish/replace windows on the lower floor of our house as well as doing some work on our external stairs. Again, the work was completed to a high standard.

This project involved a complete reconstruction & refitting of our bathroom to repair damage caused by a water leak. TT Construction provided a very clear and detailed estimate of the work required, with costings based on the level of damage encountered as the work progressed.
TT Construction was clear about how the various aspects of the work would be sequenced and how the various professional trades - builders, plumbers, electricians, tilers & decorators - would be coordinated. All the tradesmen arrived on time when expected and, throughout the work, they were polite, considerate and undertook the work to a high standard.
Mr Thomson, Director TT Construction, attended most days to check on progress and to ensure we were happy with the work being undertaken. The final account was clear and as expected.
In short, at all stages of this project - from initial discussions to completion - TT Construction worked in full accordance with their company's principles; they were prompt, accurate, neat & tidy and fair.
We would have no hesitation in using TT Construction again in the future.

We have used TT on several occasions from more major construction works to internal upgrades. All tradesmen who have been onsite were professional, knowledgeable and polite.

We had TT Construction undertake an extensive renovation in a Victorian house in Edinburgh. It involved rejoining two properties which had been subdivided in the 1980s, with significant structural work to build and fit a new staircase. They also provided a new utility room and two new bathrooms.
All the tradesmen were polite, professional and very tidy. Despite a number of challenges from the 1980s renovation, the work was completed efficiently and to schedule. The building & structural work, electrics, plumbing & heating and joinery were all completed to excellent standard and we are delighted with the project.
We would thoroughly recommend the TT team.

TT Construction managed an extensive project at our house including structural work (walls being removed), fitting of new bathrooms and associated plumbing, roofing works for installation of velux windows, drainage, electrical work and joinery throughout.

It was a pleasure to have TT on site. They arrived on time, tidied up after themselves each day, were very professional and highly skilled. Gary (the owner) is hands-on and came down to the site regularly to oversee works, particularly structural works, which we really liked. Gary and his whole team worked very hard. They were very good about sorting out a couple issues that arose, which is inevitable with a project of this size.

I would not hesitate to use Gary and his team again, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a first class building contractor.

TT performed a complete renovation of a period flat in the Grange. They were always super professional, performed work to excellent standards, and were very helpful in explaining our options whenever our old building revealed "surprises".

Internal repair / renovation works after storm damage to roof. Very happy with all aspects of the work done, easy to deal with and reliable.

We had a wall removed between our kitchen and living room, new downstairs flooring put in, a shower installed over our bath and additional cupboards installed in our utility room. We had great communication about when everything was happening and everyone showed up when expected which was really helpful. TT accommodated us having to cancel a previous start date due to us having covid. They worked really efficiently and the quality of the work is really high. They also did their best to be respectful of keeping things tidy (a certain amount of noise and dust is to be expected!) and were generally friendly and easy to work with.

We have used TT for multiple jobs around the house from fitting bathrooms, windows and doors, building work, joinery, electrics and roofing. At all times their tradesmen have been reliable and very easy to deal with. Their quality of work is very good and when the next batch of house improvements need done it will be TT that we contact.

This was a loft extension to a top floor flat in a Victorian/Edwardian Edinburgh building. TT construction worked with our architect/project manager to deliver a really excellent result. As well as the extension they installed a new kitchen and bathroom in the existing flat, did a good redecorating job on the whole flat. They negotiated with others to install an iMist fire safety appliance. The flat was nearly completely rewired and re--plumbed. The work was completed a little after the scheduled time but Covid and sourcing materials were contributing issues. There are still a few outstanding minor issues to get full building reg. approval. I have no concerns about these, which I am sure will be sorted out soon. At all times communication with TT was excellent and they were very reliable at doing what they said they would.
There were extra expenses for the unanticipated, but these were reasonable and negotiable.
I have no hesitation in recommending this company to others for similar work.

Refurbishment of an existing small room to convert into a wine room. This required stripping back existing lath and plaster to the stonework, installation of insulation, vapour barrier and plasterboard as well as plaster and joinery work to enable installation of prefabricated wine racks.
Work was impacted by finding of wasps' nests but despite the interruption to the planned schedule, the work was completed with minimal delay. The quality of work by an experienced work force was very good and well coordinated.

I would like to renovate a house as previous owner has stayed for almost 40 years. The project includes structural change, new kitchen, new bathrooms, new boiler/heating/replumbing, decoration and back garden. (I appoint seperate electrician to rewire - will never do it again!)
I am glad to find TT Construction do help my project - my architect recommands them to me.
Gary, Denise and the whole team delivered high standard service from communication to every work including cleaning. Gary always says that he treats clients' property as his own - I believe it because Gary and his team did it.
The quote is down to detail, so never hidden costs. Gary explains everything if I have questions or there is any unexpected issues. He also provides options depending on budget level and let me know the pros & cons.
They charge for fair price and it's definately worth it.
As a whole, I am very satisfed and will definately seek their help if I need another renovation. (Plus, all my visiters like my new home!)

TT Construction managed entire project involving building work, drains, plumbing, roofing, electrical work and decoration.
They were excellent. The team were very professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable and worked hard, and everything was done to a very high standard and compliant with regulations. They went the extra mile to ensure that everything was done as I wanted it. They were very good about sorting the few issues that inevitably arose with a project of this size, and very responsive. They kept me very well informed. They kept the work area clean and tidy, and took great care to avoid damage to my property and garden.

Major roof repair, joinery and masonry work needed. TT's team is great, from being easy to deal with and doing what they say they will when they say they will, through the problem solving to the quality of work at the end. They've been our go-to builder for over a decade.

Two bathrooms refitted, a modest extension, kitchen moved and refitted, new doors, as well as major structural repairs resulting from old changes to the property.
The straightforward work - the bathrooms, extension and kitchen work, including necessary plumbing and electrical work - were all done to time, efficiently and to a very high standard. Where there were supply delays, e.g. for custom-made doors, we were kept informed. The workmen were all excellent and very considerate. We particularly appreciated having a temporary kitchen installed for our use whilst the work was done. Rubbish was removed and the house left clean and painted.
The structural repairs were unexpected and, to us, serious, However, The builder was reassuring and very competent in dealing with the problems, which required installing a major support beam in one room and strengthening the gable wall. The proprietor was very good at coming to discuss all the work with us.
