We have a 2 bedroom flat in Edinburgh, that after being let for 10 years, required a lot of work. On top of that - we had a considerable issue with 'smokers drift' - tobacco smoke drifting through the old floorboards and other gaps around piping etc. from the flat below that made the flat unsuitable for our young son to stay in. We had a redundant gas fire that needed to be removed - along with the fireplace. A new kitchen needed to be fitted. This was a huge job.

Brunon and his team ripped back everything - the floorboards were removed throughout the entire flat, new floorboards down along with a membrane to stop the smoke, all gaps sealed where possible, and new flooring laid throughout. The plaster in the living room was coming away from the walls - so the that was made sound and re-plastered along with the ceiling. Old kitchen was pulled out and a new one fitted. New radiators and heating pipes fitted throughout. And finally the flat was decorated throughout. It's been done to a really high standard and I'm delighted with the work - Brunon ensured we were satisfied with what had been done and checked in several times after the work finished to make sure there were no outstanding 'niggles'.

Brunon and his team were great to work with - this was a huge job and quite stressful for us, particularly as we weren't in Edinburgh to oversee the work. Brunon kept infrequent contact - updating us with photos and letting us know what he needed from us to keep on track. One of the major benefits we found in working with Brunon was Anna. I've had the experience in the past where I've left endless messages with tradies and no one gets back to you, or does days later (usually when you're in a meeting at work). Having the ability to chat to someone on the phone to find out information when it suits you while knowing you aren't disturbing the work was great. Anna really helped to reassure us that everything we were concerned about would be taken care of, and in a timely manner. This was a great benefit of using this team.

We required a complete renovation in the kitchen and bathroom including new flooring fitted throughout as well as the hallway. We had several companies come round and they moaned about removing the cast iron bathtub and the water tank saying they were too heavy and difficult to remove. Brunon and his team tackled all the heavy lifting parts of the job in a remarkably short time and then worked diligently in ensuring all the finishings were correct leaving us with a brand new home that was on time and on budget.

We have a 1960's flat that was looking very tired. Brunon and the team went through the whole flat (except for the kitchen and bathroom which we had done last year) and massively upgraded the feel of the place. It now looks and feels so much better.

The specific things they did were;
* Replace all of the laminate flooring with LVT vinyl tiles. They made this flow through the flat so that there are no joins in the doorways and it looks fantastic.
*Replace all of the skirting boards
* Replace all of the internal doors with solid core oak doors including replacing the door surround
*Installed a pocket door for the kitchen which has given us back loads of space in the kitchen
* Move a radiator and conceal other heating pipework in the walls
* Move electrical sockets
* Tidy up the walls- remove wall paper; fill in socket blanks from when the flat was rewired years ago, sink some cables into the wall that had been in surface trunking, plasterboard over some parts to provide a smooth finish
* Repaint throughout - walls and ceilings and all woodwork
* Wallpapered a single wall in each room
* Hung a curtain rail and coat hooks etc

There were challenges due to Covid which impacted the time taken versus the expected time (workers got pinged on the app etc) and materials are a nightmare for everyone at the moment. However Brunon kept me informed and we worked together to get through it.

This is the second time we’ve hired Brunon and his team. Again we’re very pleased with the work! In the room they - re-plastered all walls, painted (and followed our design requests!), created bespoke fitted wardrobes, created and finished off all woodwork.

The team always kept in touch about when they would arrive in the mornings. They cleaned up throughly after themselves. And I don’t think I ever saw them stop for a coffee break!

The current job was slabbing the front garden and putting up a shed.

We met Brunon first when our heavy curtains dragged the rail down. He was first person to say he would help in the emergency. Then we had his staff decorate the lounge. Great job. Then his team converted our eleven year old decking to patio.
This month the team completed wider access paving in our front garden. Again we are very happy with the finish: neat and tidy workers.

Perfect job every time

Removal of old decking and installation of composite decking on a 6th floor terrace. The job was complicated by the fact that both old and new materials had to be manhandled through our apartment and up and down 6 sets of stairs. Brunon discussed this with us and reassured us that his team would deal with this. He also took time to go through the possible options we had in replacing the decking depending on what wanted to spend.We ultimately agreed that since we were very specific re colour and pattern of the new deck we would source the decking and Brunon would quote for labour and other materials.The project was carried out in the the agreed timescales and as promised with the minimum disruption. The guys were polite,friendly and incredibly hard working. My wife was particularly impressed by the care they took to avoid any mess in our newly decorated home. We are delighted with the finished deck and without hesitation would use Brunon and his team for other projects.

This is the second time we have had the team in working for us and once more, we are delighted with the result. An old patio was lifted, altered and relaid and our garden wall was repointed. Anna kept us informed every step of the way, was quick to respond to emails and was helpful and charming. Brunon gave us lots of great advice and the boys did a top job. They were extremely hard working, tidied up after work each day and were friendly and polite. Flexibility was the name of the game, as decision making is not my strong point and everyone ran with it. We already have plans for our next job for them and the job after that too! Many thanks for a great team effort.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted at first but Brunon listened to me and made suggestions to suit my requirements. Brunon was asked to replace a front door, which, together with part of the door-frame had been damaged in an attempt burglary. The person needing the work was my vulnerable daughter. I live 400 miles away and am unable to visit, so we both had to rely on Brunon for professional advice as well as skill. He, his Partner Anna and their team could not have been more helpful and the quality of workmanship was excellent. An extra (un-needed!) point was that, mid-job, an interfering outsider made my daughter very anxious about things, causing her great distress. Brunon did what I would have done, if nearer, and patiently calmed her and helped her understand what was really happening. A++ for customer relationship skills! Also, while I thought we would probably need a new Frame, Brunon assured us that this extra expense was not needed. Very grateful for his honesty.

Brunon and his team have done a number of jobs: installing a fitted wardrobe, tiling around a fireplace and installing kitchen units with a worktop. Brunon replaced and painted a shed door and fixed the hinges on a garden gate. Very professionally done. Pleasure to do business with.

We added a new seating area to our back garden which immediately highlighted a drainage issue.

Contacted Brunon who came round, analysed the probable cause and outlined a solution in some detail. The quote for the job seemed fair and we agreed to have the work carried out over the agreed 2 days.

Turned up promptly with a colleague at the appointed hour.

They uplifted the existing chippings, laid 2 tons of hardcore and compacted it before replacing the weed suppressant membrane and relaying the slate. To combat the drainage issue they installed a 5 metre French drain leading away from the area.

They worked hard, safely and very tidily. This was a messy job and they left the site as clean as it was before they started.

We were kept informed of progress at each stage.

This is the second job Brunon has undertaken for us, the first was a small joinery task. We have no hesitation in recommending him and will use him again when required.

Very happy with this team, who repaired a set of New Town cellar doors. They arrived when they said they would, their work was high quality and both Bruno and Dennis a delight to work with. We will use them again, and recommend them to our friends and neighbours.
