Max recently built a shaker style alcove unit with floating shelves in our living room and we are beyond thrilled with the end result. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was exceptional and the communication throughout was top notch. Max made sure to check every detail with us as he progressed the build to ensure we got the desired end result. Max predominantly worked outside ensuring mess and disruption was kept to a minimum and was very considerate in tidying up once the work was complete. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Max and would certainly use him for future projects.

Max did an excellent job installing my Wren kitchen along with new integrated appliances. Max organised everything and made things really easy so that I didn’t need to organise multiple tradesmen and even dealt with the kitchen supplier directly to resolve an issue we had with one of the units. Overall Max completed the work quickly and kept in touch through out on progress which was much appreciated. Would have no hesitation to recommend to a friend.

After max fitted my kitchen / utility room & flooring l just had to have him back .He removed & fitted beautiful oak doors / handles to my small flat .He also fitted glass sliding door in the kitchen giving me better access .Finishing off, replaced wardrobe doors with panelling etc .He even did a few wee jobs !!l can't recommend him enough.His eye for detail,& work ethic is fantastic . Max from Stockbridge Kitchens and Carpentry Co fitted new handles and latches on 6 doors; replaced the pipe boxing under the central heating boiler in the kitchen and boxed-in water pipes under the washbasin in the bathroom.

After our enquiry via the Edinburgh Trusted Trader website, Max contacted us quickly and made an appointment to review the work required. Shortly afterwards he provided an estimate, which we accepted.

Max completed all the work requested in one visit. We were very impressed with the quality of the work done and Max was friendly and completely reliable.

We would certainly use Max's services again and would recommend him to others.

Max fitted our kitchen beautifully - the work involved closing a doorway and installing a new one in a different location, removing and disposing off our old kitchen, fitting a Howdens kitchen which involved adaptations including reducing cabinet depth, fitting a wooden floor and coordinating an electrician, plumber and decorator.

Reasons I’d recommend Max:

Quality of work: everything is beautifully finished, Max adapted cabinets to fit shallow spaces, built some bespoke internal cupboard storage, worked round structural problems and has generally made sure all the details are perfect - all done smoothly, with very little mess.

Communication and Organisation: From the first contact Max was great with keeping in touch, helped to coordinate with Howdens and helped us to understand what happens when and make decisions at the right time. Everything was finished within the timescales originally set out and Costs were clear, up front and accurate.

He was great to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Removing old kitchen to replace with new fitted kitchen also making good utility room by fitting out with washing machine & units to complement the kitchen..

We had our old kitchen taken out and a new kitchen and utility installed. Max was great from start to finish, very professional throughout and got the job done to a great standard for a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend using these guys.

Did a full kitchen for us. Pulled out the old one and installed the new one. Great experience as Max made sure every step was taken care off and even went the extra mile such as filling up any gaps in the floor/walls n case of mice.

Max did an excellent job fitting a big cork board in our kitchen, as well as boxing in our electricity meter, boxing some plumbing in the spare room, and repairing a patch of parquet flooring. Recommended.

It had been necessary to have my kitchen emptied to have restoration work done on the walls, so cupboards were tucked away for months. Wizard kitchen fitter Max took it all in his stride as units appeared from strange places, and set about making a kitchen beyond my hopes. Max takes a real pride in his work and left it so much nicer than it was originally.

We got bespoke furniture made and fitted for our new house. It made a huge difference to how we utilised the space aswell as being completed to an extremely high standard.

Max has done various things for us, installed attic ladder and fitted wardrobes. All work was completed to a high standard and he was very amenable to listening to exactly what we wanted.
A big tick from us was that he responded quickly to messages and turned up exactly when he said he would do.

Max fitted my kitchen and did the plumbing for it. He did an amazing job it looks great, he was very reliable and friendly I would definitely reccomend!

Max built a large built-in wardrobe and put up some shelves for us to help make the most of space in our tiny colony flat. He worked with us on the design and was really flexible, and in the end built us an absolutely gorgeous wardrobe that we are thrilled with. The interior is oak veneer, with shaker style doors and honestly looks like it cost way more than what the final bill came to. Max communicates well, shows up when he says he will and was a pleasure to work with, we will definitely be using his services again in the future. Thanks again Max!

After recently purchasing a new flat I employed Stockbridge Kitchens for a number of jobs including custom built wardrobes, full kitchen refit, desk building and general repairs.

The quality of the work has consistently been phenomenal and no request has been too tricky. Max and the team provide a level of work I couldn’t have found elsewhere and look forward to work with them further in the future.

From start to finish, my husband and I have been incredibly impressed with Max’s work and we’re delighted with the finished results. Throughout his communication has been excellent and he continually went above and beyond to ensure all went smoothly. He’s incredibly patient and really listened to what we wanted, guiding us into thinking about different solutions and ultimately making the right decision for us. To date, he’s installed beautiful panelling in our hallway and created a bespoke bench with storage, with a sweeping back to hug our staircase. His attention to detail is exceptional and the results have far exceeded my expectations. We’ve been so happy with the results that he’s now making us a bespoke wardrobe, and I hope he can help us renovate our kitchen and utility room too.

Max fitted my kitchen, organised other tradespeople and did carpentry for my home in Edinburgh.

He was very professional, communicative, friendly and had a high attention to detail. All the work was completed ahead of time to a high standard.

Max designed, built and installed a couple of custom pieces for us.

We wanted to upgrade our Edinburgh press, so that it had shelves large and strong enough to hold our many books, vinyl and booze! Max removed our old shelves (which were wonky and not far off buckling from the weight of our stuff!) and installed our new one. The shelves are strong and fit all our stuff perfectly!

We also asked Max to install a window seat with storage, in order to maximise a bit of dead space in our living room.

We love our new wee window perch, which has so much handy storage in a hidden drawer underneath.

It was all finished off in a lovely white satin paint, both pieces are fantastic and really finish off our room nicely.

All work was completed very quick and to a tremendous standard. Max left the flat just as he found it and the place was nice and clean when he was done!
