Our garden needed an extensive clear out and revamp and the work was carried out in a few phases. Stephen and Matt did a great job and Stephen came up with ideas/solutions that we had not thought about. The guys came when scheduled and cleared all the rubbish away - and there was a lot! Wendy was great at letting us know when the guys were coming. Work was listed on all quotes and no ‘surprise’ add-ons. We are very happy with the work and would definitely use the company again. I was looking to replace an existing rickety fence. Difficult job - ground sloped downwards, couple of large trees to fence round and lots of concrete that had to be removed. They provided a quick, competitive, and fully written quote (with t&c etc) for the works we were looking to get done (remove an old boundary fence and build a new one; lift existing gravel and permeable membrane from borders, clear LOTS of rubbish/rubble etc from behind shed left by previous owners). I had some large tree stumps that needed removed from my front garden. I had been quoted some ridiculous prices from other landscapers. I found my quote from S&W to be very fair. The site inspection and quote were quickly turned around and they completed the work a few days later which was great.

The standard of workmanship was excellent and the men were very polite and tidied up when they left. I would definitely use again.

I got Stephen to repair my garden fence which had started to sag. He put new posts in and secured the existing fence to these. He also dug up a tree at the bottom of my garden which was pushing on the fence and causing the damage. He also repaired my shed roof by re-felting it and doing some repairs to the wooden surrounds.

He explained really well what he was going to do and why and was really friendly and approachable and dealt with any questions I had.

I will be getting him back to do further jobs very soon.

Within a week we had met, agreed the price and the work was finalised. Stephen and Wendy dealt with my bathroom leak and refloored two rooms, one of which was the bathroom. As part of the bathroom leak they had to sanitize the leak area, remove my old toilet and install a new one, properly reseal my walk-in shower, and supply, fit and seal new bathroom underlay and flooring. It wasn't the most pleasant job, but they went about it without complaint and - given the nature of the work - very cleanly. They also refloored my kitchen.

This is the second project I've had Stephen and Wendy complete for me. Both times they have been diligent in their work, and their work ethic and commitment to doing a job fully has impressed me. They're always on time (or even early), and their communication is always superb - both via email and when on-site. Stephen likes to explain what he's doing and why while working, which I appreciate, and he is also happy to answer any questions.

We hit some snags along the way this time (for example, some of the new parts supplied by the manufacturer were faulty), but every time this happened they were keen to make sure that problems were fixed fully. They tried very hard to not charge me for extra replacement parts that weren't included in the original quote, but I insisted on paying for those given the manufacturers were at fault rather than Stephen and Wendy.
