Richard Barrett Flooring

Have used Richard and his team twice now; once to refurbish an old oak panelled floor, and again recently to install a herringbone oak flooring.
The guys were helpful, easy to work with and had pride in their work - makes it easy to decide to use them again.
No mess was left, and the job looks perfect (see attached photo)

No changes in prices / hidden costs like a lot of previous trades we have used.

We hired Richard and his team to fully sand and varnish the floors in our flat. Not only was the job finished to an impeccable standard, the floors are like new, but we also amended the job twice, adding both a hallway and extra room after booking the job.

Richard was responsive and accommodating through the entire process and had no problem squeezing in the extra work during his time working on our property, which made the world of difference.

The work itself was finished in the promised time, and our flat was left in a neat and tidy condition. Overall Richard and his team went above and beyond our expectations, and we absolutely intend to book their services in the near future for further rooms we'd like to have done.

Got keys to our new house and wanted work done on the floors, a few rooms sanded and our main hall with parquet. We had a few people out to look around and give us a quote, Richard not only came across as most knowledgeable but also at a great price. The amount of 5 star reviews online was also very reassuring.

The work carried out by Richard and his team was exceptional, we could not have asked for any better. Such nice and friendly people. The sanded floors look tremendous and the parquet is out of this world, worth every penny. No mess at all after the work. We are going to get our upstairs sanded in future and we will 100% be using Richard and his team to do that work for us, we could not have asked for any better.

Richard and his team sanded and finished our flooring in the living room, hallway and bathroom. He was quick to provide a reasonable quote for the work as well as a start date. He and his team arrived on time, keep in communication throughout and completed the work in the timescale given. The standard of the work carried out over a 2 day period was exceptional, leaving the property in a clean condition. I couldn't recommend Richard and his team more.

Had new wood flooring laid in 3 rooms, and existing wood floors renovated in another 2 rooms.
Good communication and left rooms clean & tidy. Result was exactly as expected and have no hesitation in recommending.

We have used Richard twice now and each time he has exceeded out expectations. We had our 100 year old pine floorboards sanded and stained in a period flat and they looked incredible and was good value for money for the improvement it had on the flat. recently Richard has laid a new parquet floor in our house and the results are stunning.

We had our hall and lounge floors sanded. Richard came out promptly to quote and we were delighted when he agreed to fit us in before Christmas. Scott was both reliable and personable and advised us on the right colour of stain that suited the rooms. After the work was completed, Richard then contacted us to make sure that we were happy with the end product. We are thrilled! My only regret is not getting the work sooner. Really good job, reliable, clean and tidy!

Nick and Richard did a great job in resanding and varnishing Victorian pine boards in sitting room and mending, securing and sand and varnish original boards in the hall. Both floors look great and I was impressed with the repair work as it has exceeded my expectations. Work was done on schedule and rooms left v clean. Would recommend and use again with no hesitation.

Delighted with the work which Richard undertook on our hall stairs. The stairs were sanded back to their original condition and then varnished applied. This was a laborious task which Richard just got on with and he put in a lot of effort. All work was carried out to a high standard and the room was left extremely neat and tidy.

The price was very good and Richard was quick at responding to emails and offering advice.

Had click laminate flooring laid on ply. This is the 3rd job we have had the company do. Excellent quality work, professional and efficient. They always clean up after themselves too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We are delighted to find a parquet floor in our flat when we bought it, but it was in a bad state. After being told it wasn't worth repairing, we found Richard who came and did a fantastic job. We are delighted with his work and would 100% recommend his company.

I have now used Richard Barrett flooring on three separate occasions. The first was to do my kitchen floor with engineered wood nearly three years ago. The job was excellent, the floor very good quality and it has worn very well, with no problems. I then used him for two further jobs on another flat in 2019 and 2020. This was to install an engineered wood sitting room floor and a hard wearing vinyl kitchen floor. I was delighted with the results, the quality and the finish. I highly recommend Richard Barrett flooring - the standard of work is excellent.

We had our existing hardwood floor removed and Richard then removed the sub standard sub floor and replaced it - a joy to no longer have a squeaky floor! He then laid hardwood blocks (Parquet) sanded and oiled them. In addition he replaced an existing hardwood floor in a large second room and laid hardwood blocks (parquet) sanded and oiled them. We were up against a tight timescale as had a new kitchen being fitted. Richard worked extra hours including weekends to meet the deadlines - he went the extra mile. Despite being up against it time wise Richard did not let his quality of work slip - as usual the floors have been laid beautifully by Richard and his team. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. In fact I have booked Richard to replace another floor as we were so pleased with the results.

We recently had our Floors sanded in our house. I would recommend Richard and his team, exceptionally friendly, reliable and work to a high standard. We had our floors done many years ago by the company and they were our first port of call 17 years later to have them refreshed. Work men who turn up when they say, do a good job and leave the house tidy after work is done. You can’t beat that kind of service!
