Richard Barrett Flooring

Richard is absolutely excellent at his work. He not only does a great job with the floors but is prompt, reliable, organized, and flexible around the demands of multiple trades working on the same building. He refinished a few rooms in my old house and I had no hesitation asking him to refinish my entire new flat, including new skirting boards, which all looks great. Couldn't be happier with it.

Cannot thank Richard enough for a) the BEAUTIFUL work on our floor and b) for being so lovely about digging us out of an ill-advised DIY hole when I got too far on in my pregnancy to finish the job we'd started.

He and his colleague did an absolutely /fantastic/ job, no mess or fuss; they were punctual, extremely good natured and very professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his business to anyone. He even very kindly asked if he could fix a floorboard in another room that looked a bit dodgy, which was above and beyond!

Can't wait to have him back to do the rest of the floors when we have a bit more breathing space!

Richard has now done two properties in a row for us, and I can’t recommend him enough! Brilliant end result - clean and tidy during the process and minimal disruption (we recently had 3 rooms done at once) would definately recommend him and use him again everytime

I contacted Richard as we were wanting our original floorboards sanded in our 100 year old house & to be then varnished . Three days were arranged for Richard and Scott to come out to do our living room, 2 bedrooms & the downstairs hallway & entrance hall. They came very promptly and got working straight away & they were very professional & tidy as they worked. They repaired some loose floorboards & secured them. After the original floorboards were then beautifully sanded , 3 coats of Woca optimum Matt floor lacquer were applied. It was also 95% dust free. Below are a few photos of the finished rooms. We have now arranged to have our stairs done in a few weeks time. Amazing craftsmanship from Richard and Scott and the price was very fair & reasonable. Richard was very easy to deal with and communication was great from start to finish, this included time spent receiving an estimate to explaining what could be expected from the job.
Richard and Scott arrived on time and got started straight away on the job of sanding our lounge floor. They are such tidy workers, no mess, and our sanded floor looks incredible.... we're so happy.

Richard and Scott fitted wooden flooring in our living room and plywood in our hall. The work was completed very quickly after first contact and it was done to a very high standard. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Richard and Scott repaired, sanded and sealed our original wood flooring in 2 living rooms and a hallway, part of which was heavily damaged following an electrical rewiring. They did an excellent, high quality job and we’re delighted with the floors which look like new! Highly recommended.

We had our engineereed hardwood floor sanded and varnished and delighted with the result. Richard said when he would call to do the work and at 8.00 am and he and his colleague were waiting outside at 8.00 ready to start.
Friendly and efficient and we old recommend

Our hall and living room floors needed attention after adding an extension to the house. The existing Junckers boards were laid 20 years ago when we first moved in so they'd had a lot of wear. Richard confidently explained the approach he would take to extend the floor into the new part of the house. This required him to remove sections of the existing floor and fit new Junckers boards into the extended area. To complete the look Richard and his team sanded the new and existing boards in the hall along with the living room. The work is of fantastic quality. I would honestly say the 20 year old floor looks better now than when it was first installed. The new and old boards have been blended together seemlessly, the results really are exceptional. There was no mess whatsoever. Hard working and professional throughout, we are very happy to recommend and definitely would use again.

We used Richard and his team to sand back our oak floorboards following a flood. They were quick to reply to our enquiry and were reasonably priced. Richard and his team arrived on time, were polite and worked hard to get the job done. The finish is beyond what we could have hoped for. Richard fitted new flooring throughout our open plan kitchen/living room in herringbone style. The finished room looks fantastic! Richard has been really helpful throughout, from the initial meeting suggesting different flooring options and price points to fitting in with our timescales for work we were having done to the kitchen separately. The job took a little longer than expected but Richard worked extra hours to accommodate and it has been finished to a really high standard.
