My 4 bed flat in Marchmont needed a combination of restoration of damaged ornate floral cornice and installation of new cornice in bedrooms and hall. Mark's work was outstanding, delivering on time, quality and price with excellent advice and communications throughout the whole process. I would have no hesitation in using Ornadec again and throughly recommend the firm.

Mark repaired and replaced several different original plaster coving for us that had been damaged/ removed or covered during recent renovations. What a difference it has made. Mark was friendly to deal with and undertook the works with minimal fuss and minimal mess... really happy with the result and glad we employed Mark to do it.

Just recently moved into a house and had patches of coving that were needing repaired. Mark was able to source and match the existing material and repaired it seamlessly!

Ornadec installed an ornate ceiling frieze and cornice for me. They gave me a timescale for getting to my job and turned up when they said they would. The job was alot more complex than anticipated due to panels not being precut. The boys did a fantastic job at just getting stuck in and, even though it was a huge arduous job, maintained a really high standard of finish. Cornice fitting was also tricky due to hanging curtains behind and, again, the boys just made it work. Really delighted and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Mark installed a new plaster ceiling rose for me, after an old polystyrene one had been damaged during some previous maintainance on the ceiling.

He was very professional, courteous, had an eye for detail — leaving me with an excellent result, and also charged a fair price for the work undertaken.

I would gladly use Mark again for any cornicing work required, and would recommend him to others too.

Mark provided a great service from start to finish.

I needed a section of cornicing restored, he came took the sample and came back as soon I needed the section to be restored.

Finish was immaculate, you couldn't even tell it was damaged in the first place.

Mark was phenomenal. We started with a badly overpainted ornate plaster (1890s) cornice in our lounge - the detail was just unrecognisable. Mark took down the original cornice, made moulds and new plaster copies of everything (I include his photos of the pieces below) and then put it up the newly made ornament beautifully in our lounge. The photos of the room don't really do it justice at the moment because the rest of the room is still unfinished, but it looks gorgeous.

He also replaced the ceiling rose in our lounge and put new ceiling roses where there had been none in our bedrooms and the hallway, and even patched up a bit of hallway cornice that had been damaged (by other workmen) earlier in our renovation. Everything he did looks great.

Mark was always very easy to communicate with, and he always came when he said he would and worked efficiently and tidily. I would absolutely go to Mark again if I ever needed any more work like this done, and I would of course recommend him in the highest possible terms.

Lounge was re-plastered including the ceiling after we had installed new insulation to the outside walls. Mark and Colin also installed new cornicing.

They were efficient, arrived on time and worked consistently over the two days they were onsite. They left the room clean upon departure and we're polite and considerate throughout their visit.

I look forward to contacting Mark to complete the other rooms across my home.

Mark supplied and fitted new cornice for us in a large room and a hallway. He communicated clearly, gave good advice, and carried out the work courteously and on schedule. Very efficient and pleasant.

Installation of a large ornate cornice on 3 different roofs with lots of corners. The guys made a great job and the room looks amazing. Another company said the job was too difficult but they managed it no problem.

Ornadec completed cornicing in our family room in July 2022 and Mark did a fantastic job.
We were flexible on timing and he communicated well as to his availability.
He sourced a really great cornice and this was delivered well in advance of the installation and worked on completing the installation over 2 days. When it was going in you could easily think that the joins were visible - as the plaster takes around a day to fully dry but once dry you couldn’t see them, and they look really great now they are painted. (Panting was not part of the service)

Top tips - clear any room you plan on getting cornicing as much as you can, and make sure you have somewhere to store the cornicing before it’s installed.

Mark has skimmed two rooms for us now (walls and ceilings) - and we've been happy with how both turned out. The quality of his cornice work is exceptional, the tiny details that he considers when fitting really make the difference!

Once Mark arrives (always on time) he works really hard to get the job done. Both of our jobs had awkward bits (blown plaster and squint window framing) which Mark just dealt with, without complaining or making a fuss. Would recommend him to anyone looking for plastering and quality cornicing.

Mark from Ornadec was a recommended fitter by the company we had bought our cornicing and ceiling roses from. He was a reliable and tidy worker. The finished job is perfect and we are arranging further work with him now. Nothing was too much hassle. We had some awkward angles for cornicing and some very large ceiling roses to fit. We asked Ornadec to plaster the upstairs of our house which included 3 bedrooms, the hallway and the walls along our staircase. We chose their quote above others due to reviews on this site and the photographs of their work. Our walls were in quite a bad state and a lot of the other plasterers who came to view the house were quite negative about the job. We were pleasantly surprised at Marks attitude towards the work and what it entailed.

The work itself was incredible; the difference before and after was astounding. It was a piece of work that really made us feel like we were getting somewhere with our house renovation.
