Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

Excellent work. Very impressed - Nico clearly displayed a real knowledge and love of trees and did a quality job, arrived on time, and cleared up so no trace had been there, especially appreciated that at the job required them to access our treevia a neighbour’s garden. Definitely recommend.

I used this company in August 2022 & September 2023 to tidy up my garden by pruning or cutting back all trees,bushes and other plants as required. The result gave my garden a fine manicured look.
An estimate was agreed after helpful advice was freely given as to what needed to be done at that time and on a future occasion. Arriving on time on the day the work was carried out in a professional manner. All the cuttings were removed leaving a neat and tidy garden.
If asked I would recommend this company as I have found them to be EXCELLENT.

We used Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services to cut back a couple of very large trees that were over hanging our garden, then again for advice on an overgrown large bush, which wasn’t growing/thickening well. We got this cut back as advised which then helped it thicken out again making it look so much healthier.. On both occasions Nico & Ailidh were friendly, professional and arrived when they said they would. We were really pleased with the work they did as well as how tidy the garden was afterwards. We would definitely use again and recommend.

I have used Ogilvie Hayes for many years now for both tree and hedge work. They are very polite, reliable, friendly and extremely tidy. Their love for trees shows in their work - having the expert knowledge required to keep trees healthy and looking their best.
My hedges are quite tall and always look so neat after Nico has trimmed them. Looking forward to my garden’s next tidy up by them.

I’ve had an excellent service from Ogilvie Hayes for over 3 years now. Every job is discussed in detail, advice given and it only gets cut if/when it’s needed which is most reassuring. They transform my garden every time. Ailidh & Nico are such lovely genuine people, work well as a team and a joy to deal with. Highly highly recommended!

We have had our large perimeter hedge maintained by Ogilvie Hayes for more than two years. It is a tall hedge of 10 feet plus in height, consisting of mixed confers.
We have also had trees removed.
O&H have provided professional arboriculturist services, which have included giving advice regarding the ongoing health and care of our trees.
O&H provide a reliable booking system and are always punctual; they have excellent machinery and also remove garden waste to a high standard; they are extremely safety conscious and take into account the safety of pedestrians and neighbouring property. They always wear professional safety equipment.

Extensive tree surgery was performed on the first visit. An Apple tree was thinned and pruned. A silver birch that had previously been butchered by a different tree surgeon, was thinned and reshaped into a tree of beauty once again. A follow up visit has kept these trees healthy and in good shape.
They discussed in detail what work was needed and when was best to do it. So there were no surprises.
All debris was removed and the garden left spotless.
They arrived on time with all the machinery that was needed and proceeded with the minimum of disturbance. We have no hesitation in recommending them for quality work.

Ogilvie Hayes Tree & Garden Services turned up on the day agreed and although the work turned out to be more extensive than first thought, they stayed on late to complete the job. They have an indepth and passionate knowledge of trees, providing clear and well reasoned advice. Very professional with excellent health & safety awareness.

Trees pruned well and had beautiful blossom on them last year. The chap was neat and tidy and pleasant and knowledgeable. Easy to speak to and discuss what else needed attention in the garden. I would certainly recommend them. They came at the appointed time and the debris taken away. I will use them again and the price was competitive - well worth it.

Nico and Ailidh cut back branches of a tall tree that was overhanging our garden and blocking sunlight. They did a great job and now we have much more sunlight coming into the garden. Really reasonably priced and came out to quote really quickly. I also don’t think I’ve encountered trades people so lovely and friendly as them! They’re super warm and approachable people and will use them again and would recommend to others.
