Who we are
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services is a family business rooted in
Edinburgh. Nico & Ailidh established the business after coming together
in 2017. “We work together daily as Yin and Yang, balancing the
Symbiosis that’s required for business, nature and family.”
Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services are a friendly, local and professional service with 15 years experience we are fully insured with public & employers liability insurance. We are here to provide our customers with quality, safe, and environmentally-friendly Tree & Hedge services.
We have first class equipment provided for the job and our staff are qualified through LANTRA & NPTC arboricultural courses along with additional ABC / Tree life courses.

We wanted some large garden trees removed and a tidy up of the remaining trees. The team were great, very friendly and helpful, listening to what we wanted to achieve in our garden and offering advice. We will definitely use them again when our trees need trimmed.

They are very efficient and courteous. Nico cut back a lot of trees in my garden. He explained what he was doing at each stage of the work.

Ogilvie Hayes are just the best. Ailidh and Nico are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and get the job done without any fuss. We had trees thinned, pruned and taken down. The advice given and work done were both first class. I have no hesitation at all in highly recommending Ogilvie Hayes.

I have used Ogilvie Hayes Tree and Garden Services for the past 2 years and have them booked in for this year too. They are the most professional and friendly company. The communication is brilliant from start to finish. The standard of work is also excellent, putting cones out round their vehicles, talking to neighbours, listening to exactly what you want and they tidy every last leaf before they go. My late dad used to be so fussy about the front hedge cutting and Ogilvie Hayes cut the hedge to the same high standard. They also really value their customers and even send a Christmas card. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them – Alison

Delighted to have come across Nico & Ailidh. They both know exactly what they are doing. Did an excellent job tidying up our pleached hornbeam trees & we intend to book them annually for regular maintenance of all the trees in our garden. I have total confidence in their knowledge & competence. No hesitation in recommending. Oh and I forgot to add that they are both such lovely people to deal with! Dawn

Nico and Ailidh did an amazing job tidying up our garden, removing stumps, pruning trees, offering advice for us to manage the garden better ourselves in the future. They were so lovely, efficient and tidy. I’d highly recommend them for any tree / garden needs!

Last spring Ogilvie Hayes reduced the height and width of our bay tree and thinned the canopy of a Japanese maple whilst this spring they pruned an apple tree. We highly recommend Ailidh and Nico. Nico is clearly very knowledgeable, explaining the options for your trees clearly and in sufficient detail to allow you to make any decisions required. They carry out the work very efficiently and very tidily and, in addition, they are very pleasant to deal with. This is the second time they have done work for us and we will certainly be asking them to do further work for us in the future.
