Nicholas Hill Gardening

I have used Nicholas for my elderly mother’s garden several times over the last three years. His work and helpfulness has been outstanding and he is willing and trustworthy.
I have no hesitation in recommending his company.

My mother and I have known Nick for over fifteen years. We first used his services at my Mother's large garden house in Colinton. Nick kept the garden under control for her.

When she down sized to her house in Fairmilehead straight away we engaged Nick to bring the tired garden under control. We also had areas of work that required his input and action. This included removing an old tree and replacing a dangerous shared fence between neighbours.

We have continued to use Nick over the years and we regard him as "Best in Class" for the quality of work and affordability.

The most recent scope of work was to widen a tight driveway by moving a section of garden wall using matching materials to our entire satisfaction.

I have no hesitation in recommending Nick and his team for any garden design, repairs or maintenance.

This is the second job Nick has done for me. He landscaped my front garden a few years ago and I was, and still am, delighted with it so when I wanted work done in my back garden I went to Nick again. Once more very happy. He is friendly and efficient and has done just what I wanted. No trouble, no mess and a great result.

Workmen arrived promptly on the day and completed the work required to my satisfaction. Very pleasant workmen.

I had a tricky fence repair that needed to be done. Nick came out and gave a reasonable quote which I decided to go with. I was able to get the fence panels delivered before works started as it allowed me to paint them in the garage. His employees turned up on time & got the job done in no time at all. They were clean, efficient & polite. Would definitely recommend them & use again.

We needed a new fence & some trellis panels put up. I had been let down by several other firms before contacting Nick but from the outset he proved to be reliable & professional and was honest about timescales for any work starting. Ronan & Mark completed the work with good advice on my options and with amazing attention to detail. They were a treat to have around, left the place immaculate and even replaced the patio table and chairs before I saw the work finished for the first time which was a lovely touch. We are delighted with the outcome & will definitely be calling Nick for future work.

i have a small garden and all the old shrubs and contents of tubs needed to be taken out and new shrubs/small plants put in.

i also needed the broken top of brickwork weather proofed.

several trees needed trimmed, as well as weeds dealt with on my path.

once all this work was done nick took away all the waste.

he gave me a date and turned up on time, did a very good job and i intend to use his services again.

Removal and replacement of paving slabs in garden. Men came on time, and carried out the work quickly and efficiently. They were polite and pleasant, and cleared up after them. Would certainly use this firm again.

Had my old decking removed and new decking installed. Nick’s team was absolutely superb-really hard working and lovely to deal with (saw Ronan a few times and he was so helpful).the job was done incredibly well and in the timescale promised (for the fee agreed). Would highly recommend

We had a garden fence installed recently by Nick Hill Garden Construction and are very happy with the work and the advice we received from Nick in choosing something suitable for our garden. Communication was excellent, and Nick and the team were friendly and professional throughout. They were punctual on the day and left the garden tidy when the work was complete. I will certainly return to Nick for any further big jobs in the garden.

Nick's team did a great job in landscaping our back garden, were a pleasure to have on site, tidied up after themselves every day and could not be faulted. We plan to sort out our front garden out next year and will only be speaking with Nick.

Both guys made a great job of cutting a twelve foot hedge in my back garden. They were polite, friendly, cleared up afterwards and turned up when they said they would. The final price was as estimated with no hidden extras. I have already recommended Nicholas to a neighbour of mine.
