Paul did a great job repointing our garden wall and replacing the coping stones that had deteriorated over the last 100 years. The standard of work was very good with meticulous attention to detail. He was very clear about the costing and all aspects of his communication were excellent.

I needed repairs to a wall and new coping stones installed on top of the wall. Paul and Mo did a great job. They were utterly reliable with everything happening just when and how they said it would. The quality of the finished work is excellent. I would definitely use Newtown Stone Repairs again if I needed any stone work repairs or building.

Newton Stone Repairs fixed a crack in the stone work of my kitchen window. Even though it was a small job they took time and care to make sure I got a good colour match for an almost invisible repair. They provided a professional service in a friendly manner and I would recommend them.

A mullion had cracks in it on both sides and repair was not possible. Paul came and measured up and provided a quote which, compared with other quotes, was very acceptable. Because of his work load a start on the work would be several weeks away and there was also a delay from the quarry for the stone. Paul kept us up to date with the expected delivery of the stone and when he could start work. When he did eventually arrive, the work was done in a day (plus an hour the next morning) to a very high standard. He and his team were very tidy and cleaned up when they had finished, including the inevitable pallet that the new stone arrived on. We would have no hesitation in using Paul again or recommending him to anybody who wants a professional job of work carried out.

We had our old brick garden walls repaired and repointed; new coping stones cast and fitted; and a stone wall and windowsills repaired. The quality of work was excellent. Paul’s focus is quality of workmanship and open and honest communication. We welcomed this approach and found him and Mo a pleasure to deal with. We asked questions and made requests and these were always listened to and acted on. They were very considerate and respectful, tidying up every night and taking great care not to damage flower beds and pond.
Attention to detail was second to none: down to the mix of mortar used which is a sandier colour and really offsets our old bricks and the Lithomex colours carefully chosen to match our existing sills. The end result is really beautiful. Nobody else who came to quote for these jobs discussed these aspects with us.
Several neighbours have commented on how industrious and careful Mo was and what a good quality job it is; some have even approached Paul to carry out work for them.
Costs were more than other quotes but, for us, the quality of workmanship evidenced in the end result and the ease of dealing with Paul and Mo over a month-long project made it worthwhile.

Masonry stone replacement and repair across multiple areas of the property.
Paul and his team were extremely professional, always on time, hard working, tidy and respectful. Paul was very responsive, easy to communicate with and guided us through the process with sound recommendations and information. He was also patient with us when decisions had to be made.
The end result is excellent. The repairs sit very well against the original stonework.

Paul repointed the bottom half of a gable wall which had previously been pointed with concrete. It had caused some damage to the sandstone and was leading to dampness in the cellar.
Paul showed great attention to detail in the pointing and replaced a few stones which were significantly degraded. We were also impressed with how tidy the drive was left given the volume of concrete that had been dug out and the inevitable dust that was created.
Overall very reasonable price and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his work.

We needed work done on the stonework on our building. Access was a challenge for us, and Paul was dogged in his determination to find a solution. He always arrived when he said he would, responded straightforwardly to my questions, offered detailed quotes and clearly took pride in his work. Our homes are amongst our most precious possessions, so it’s important to be able to trust those we employ to keep them safe and sound. I believe I was right in trusting Paul and his team to do a good job.

I live in a listed building which has very old and intricate stonework. Paul repointed our stonework so it matched the original but looked fresh. He also replaced the lintel and surrounding stonework on our balcony. All the work was carried out to a very high standard and in a timely manner. Paul is such a friendly, down to earth guy and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Paul did a fantastic job of repairing the stone landing and steps outside my Colonies flat. He was friendly and easy to deal with, came when he said he would and was careful to consult with me and my neighbour at each step in the process. (He was also very tolerant of my dog running up and down the steps during the repairs!) The result is amazing: lovely colour and finish that blend perfectly with the old stonework. Very happy.
