The company provided a bespoke wall unit to house a new microwave oven. The carpenter came at the date and time agreed and although there were 1 or 2 hiccups along the way my wife and I were very satisfied with the completed work. We would certainly use Newtown Renovations again.

The team refreshed our tenement shared stairwell windowsills, which had started to rot away. They were easy to communicate with, quick and efficient, and did a neat job, leaving no mess. I would recommend them.

Great company. I had to have a couple of windows painted which involved taking off secondary glazing so was a bit of a faff. Not the cheapest company but very good communication, no messing you around, really nice guys doing the work - respectful, friendly - and very good work. Clearly a company that takes their reputation seriously.

I had my living room windows renovated and draft proofed in my grade B listed property. They were very professional, reliable (this is something that doesn’t happen easily) and the quality of the work has been to a very high standard.
I would use them for the next set of window renovations I will have and strongly recommend to anyone who is considering work done to their windows.

Jonathon & co did a great job on our sash and case windows a few years ago so we contacted them again to refurbish large wooden shutters on a bay window. The job turned out to be a bit more complex than originally anticipated (not their fault but just one of the joys of having an old house). Punctual, tidy and work carried out to a high standard.

I am delighted by the standard and quality of the work undertaken by Newtown Renovations. They replaced all the original Victorian windows in my flat with new sash and case windows constructed to the original plans, but with double-glazing. The work was meticulous and the team were courteous and considerate throughout a major piece of work. Highly recommended.

Quick booking of a joinery repair. Joiner showed up on time and was notified when to expect them. Great customer service with a quick call back to check that the job was satisfactory.

Jonathon and his team produced new interior shutter leaves and installed them. The price was competitive and the work was of a really high standard. I would definitely recommend them for any sash and case window work or joinery work of any kind really.

The only issue is that they are very busy so you will need to be flexible with regards to when your job is completed. I think this is the price to pay for using high quality tradespeople - they are in demand.

From the quotes we obtained Newtown was the most expensive but from the start we were impressed with Jonathon and his willingness to work with us to build to our requirements. He was always clear on the work plan and was very clear where an additional cost was required. All of the guys on site were clearly interested in high quality work. I used Newtown renovations to refurbish our sash and cash windows, the previous windows were old, damp and very drafty with lots of flaky paint. The team did a fantastic job at completely refurbishing the windows and they now look brand new! The work was done efficiently and thoroughly and I would definitely use them again for future projects.

Newtown renovations refurbed two sash and case windows for me in a Georgian flat on Dublin Street (including the addition of brushes, replacement of worn parts, cracked pane and repainting). Very efficient service and a much neater job than the only other Edinburgh based firm whose work I have seen. Would - and have - recommended to others.
