We had our attic converted from Newtown, from initial inspection to carrying out the work the entire service was excellent. Protection was laid throughout the house and they even carried out a final clean. Workmanship was outstanding. Five out of Five for me.

Jonathon and his team are dedicated to ensure their customers are completely satisfied - even when customers change their plans! Our bathroom tongue and groove woodwork had many brown spots bleeding through the white paint in spite of three times treating the knotholes over the years. The bathroom looked tired. The stone walls round the window in the shower area gathered condensation. Jonathon advised adding an extra lining of white upvc tongue and groove wall boarding which kept the same "old" effect. The new white glossy reflective surface brightened the bathroom up immensely. White wallboards continued at the small window in in the shower area. The wallboards also insulated the walls so that the bathroom retained its heat during the night.
Newtown Renovations also repainted the house windows, indoors, and outside to protect against weather damage. They also repainted the front door and replaced the weathered brass letterbox and handle with superior glinting brass work. The door now looks brand new though 9 years old.
All the workmen were polite, friendly, and experts in their trade. Our slightest extra request was granted. They were careful with the furnishings eg the painter David wrapped the long white curtains at the window with polythene sheeting to protect them .We didn't have to take the pole and curtains down.
We are very old but the whole experience was made easy for us.

We cannot praise this company highly enough. Newtown Renovations really gave us a professional, first-class service from beginning to end. The job involved replacement of some timber-framed sash and case windows with double glazed versions, and some windows renovated and draft-proofed. All were then painted.
The quality of the work was of an extremely high standard, and customer service, second to none. Protective furniture covers and flooring were provided, and professional cleaners came in at the end of each week.
The workers were very pleasant and professional, and highly skilled. Jonathon Morrice, owner of the company, was friendly, helpful and super efficient. Nothing was too much trouble .

This company recently replaced all the sash and case windows in my Victorian tenement flat with double glazed wooden replicas of the originals.

We had new sash and case windows installed and painted at the front of our house and two sash and case windows overhauled and painted at the back of our house. Newtown were fantastic from the point of coming out to do the estimates to completion of the work. Communication was excellent - from owner to office staff to the team of workers who attended our house. They were reliable, kept us informed and were highly courteous, friendly and trustworthy.

Jonathon and his team came to fix work done by a previous builder (that we had sourced from Which? reviews) that had left us with plumbing leaks and buckled floors. Jonathon was punctual from the initial quoting phase, and his team mirrored this all the way through the job.

They had to redo the entire bathroom - stripping it back to the bare brick, and then reinstalling everything, alongside replacing the bath with a shower tray and moving the shower heads and installing a fan. We were particularly apprehensive about the tiling, as the work by the previous builder had been so inconsistent. However, all of Jonathon's team were diligent and precise.

The floors in the corridor and both bedrooms also had to be removed and reinstalled due to incorrect installation and a plumbing leak caused by the previous builder. I was impressed by the team's attention to detail, especially with our bespoke soundproofing underfloor materials.

They had to re-plaster a kitchen wall as well. Again, they were quick and got it right first time.

Finally, they also did some bespoke joinery - mainly a new set of wardrobe doors in the main bedroom, but also the front door and internal transitions. The materials and work was always done to a high quality.

Jonathon regularly came around to inspect the work and make sure we were happy. His office team were also checking in on a weekly basis.


In terms of snagging there was almost none, but of the small bits that needed fixing, they were attended to quickly and remediated properly.

After a stressful year dealing with a poor tradesman, Newtown Renovations was a refreshing business to work with, and I want to make a special shout out to Campbell, the project manager on our job, who was always ready to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy, he is a credit to the team.

The scope of work involved the removal of existing window sashes and the installation of new double glazing sashes in a listed Newtown apartment building.

The quality of service was impressive, while the team was professional, diligent, punctual, courteous and communicative.

The price was competitive. Given the scope and the value of the work, using Newtown Renovations, given its strong reputation, was an easy decision.

Newtown Renovations fitted new wooden sash and case windows to our house in East Lothian.

Shane, Ben and Aaron were the team who installed the windows. They managed to install the new windows with minimal damage to surrounds and continually cleaned up any mess. Very hard working and excellent quality work.

My mum needed a door frame fixed and a door re-hung in her home (which is a small job) but it wasn't treated like it was just another small job, Newton renovations really took care to do a great job and clean up everything perfectly afterwards. Wall removal, decoration of an open area, new lights, kitchen and floor fitting across kitchen, living room and hall. Removal of old kitchen and cleaning. Organised and efficient, with friendly team of workers. Good workmanship, tidy. Very pleased with the work, and would definitely use again.

I messaged the team at Newtown Renovations on 20 December on the off chance that they were able to carry out some work that I ideally wanted done before Christmas.

They got in touch right away to provide a clear, and reasonable, estimate for the work, together with a proposed timescale which suited me.

On 22 December Jack attended, at the time promised, and efficiently completed the work to a high standard.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Newtown Renovations again and the next time I need any work done, I will message them in the first instance.

Shane quickly spotted the problem with the window and had it moving up and down smoothly very quickly.

Fridge door not closing properly, hinges replaced and door adjusted. High standard of work, excellent result. Work done promptly. Good communication with/from admin team too.

Newtown Renovations are my go-to trades for joinery; they have always been punctual, professional and excellent communicators. They stick to a quote and always turn up when they say they will and complete a job perfectly.. no matter how large or small.

Newtown Renovations did an excellent job removing some internal stonework and replastering. When some structural stonework was unexpectedly uncovered they managed to get their stonemasons in the following day to deal with it without additional costs. The finish was all high quality and they even provided cleaners at the end.

Work was done to a very high standard. Shane and his crew did a fantastic job.
Reliable - work went on time and smoothly.
Even though the weather was terrible, the crew kept everything inside & outside clean, and covered / repaired & returned everything to normal.
Window painting also first class.
