The company provided a bespoke wall unit to house a new microwave oven. The carpenter came at the date and time agreed and although there were 1 or 2 hiccups along the way my wife and I were very satisfied with the completed work. We would certainly use Newtown Renovations again.

We had the guys fit new sash and case windows on a dormer for our client who we were installing a new roof for.

The client was proving to be very picky and in my opinion very hard to please however, he was delighted with the work carried out by Newtown Renovations.

We will continue to use these guys for any joinery work we require on future projects.

Jonathon and the team at Newtown had been recommended to us by a friend at work. We had just bought a house in need of a lot of refurbishment over a long-term project, and we needed trusted advice on how to budget for and prioritise that work, taking into account our needs and the listed status of our home. Having had poor experiences with contractors on previous projects, it was very important to find someone who we knew we could trust and would give us practical advice on where to invest time and money. Jonathon has supported us more than we could have anticipated – he and his team are always on-hand, friendly and reliable. The refurbishment work done so far has been extensive and in places complex, and been completed on time, on-budget and to the highest standard. This was all achieved in spite of our changing aspects of the project as we went and also the impact of covid19. Every member of the team has been excellent and we could not recommend Jonathon and Newtown highly enough.

Jonathon and the team refurbished our Georgian Sash and Case windows and restored all the associated shutters that had been painted over decades ago.

All the work was done to a high standard by a great bunch of guys who always left the place nice and tidy at the end of each day.

Newtown Renovations refurbished our bathroom including the window which didn't open and now glides up and down very easily. Communication was great with the whole team and the work completed to a high standard. We will definitely be using them again.

Newtown Renovations recently carried out a full refurbishment of my sash and case windows. Jonathon and the onsite team (Liam and Shane) kept me well informed throughout, including liaising with the painters, and everyone managed to keep the mess to a minimum, despite the understandable upheaval. Newtown Renovations refurbished and draft-proofed our sash-and-case windows, fitted engineered flooring in the hall and provided a highly experienced joiner for a week or so to carry out numerous repairs on our A-listed flat. We elected to use Newtown renovations to replace sash windows in a conservation area.

They dealt with the whole process from liaising with an architect to file and gain the appropriate listed building consent, making and installing the new windows into the existing cases plus all the joinery, draught proofing, painting etc.

Jonathon and his team are a pleasure to deal with, great communication throughout, happy to answer any questions (in our case provided water-based VOC paint) and will certainly use again!

I would highly recomend using Newtown Renovations. They have completed an attic conversion for us and we absolutly love it. They have been very good at communicating with us throughout the work, explaining any changes that needed to be made, and when tradesmen would be in the house. All the people in the house were respectful and nice, and did their best to clear up after each day. They were understanding of everyday family life (as we have two small children under 3). The work has been completed to a high standard and quality. We would definitely use them again for other projects in the future.

Jonathon and his team have done several bits of work for us over the years, most recently extending and replacing several skylights in a georgian roof. They always do what they say they will do and charge what they say they will charge. They are friendly and punctual, and leave the place as tidy as it can be at the end of each day and at the end of the project. I found it hard to comment on value for money because we've been so satisfied with the work that we haven't had anyone else quote for it for ages!

I'll use New Town again and always recommend them.

Jonathon and his team at Newtown Renovations reconfigured the top floor of our house, moving walls to create two new rooms, replaced ceilings and cornice and installed a new shower room. They also renovated our utility room by installing kitchen units and tiled and plastered our vestibule. Any time you have people working in your house can be quite stressful but the communication with Jonathon and his team was excellent and went a long way to making the process as stress free as possible. My partner and I were very happy with the work and finish that was achieved. And where there were a few snags or issues to be resolved, Jonathon made sure that these were done and we were happy. We were very happy with the work in general but I think their joinery work was exceptional and deserves a special mention. I highly expect we will ask Newtown to do more work for us and I have already recommended them to friends.

Having had Newtown Renovations a few months ago to install an ensuite shower room, and having been pleased with their work, I asked them to insulate the roof above a ground floor extension. As with the previous job, the work was undertaken at the time agreed and the team members were polite and efficient.

I consulted new town renovations about the renovation of a possible property purchase, and they could not have been more professional, generous, and kind. While I haven’t yet used their services fully, I regularly see local reviews in Facebook groups recommending them heartily, so I will definitely be using them for all of my future renovation needs. We used Newtown renovations to replace all 4window and a set of kitchen doors in our New Town flat with conservation approved new timber sash and case windows with double glazing. The finish was great, all the tradesmen involved were a pleasure to have working in the flat, very clean and tidy. After sales follow up when I broke a lock and couldn't open one of the window was very prompt.

I've used Newtown Renovations in the past so knew the quality of their work. As soon as we moved into our A-listed Old Town flat we lined them up to renovate our windows. They are always busy and they couldn't do the work for three months, but we were happy to wait. The quote was comprehensive and there were no hidden extras. As the start date approached we added several other jobs, including laying an engineered wooden floor in our hall. As expected the work was carried out efficiently to a high standard. The tradesmen always turned up when expected and were pleasant and polite at all times. Jonathon Morrice, who runs the company, is super efficient and always makes sure things run smoothly. I am delighted by the standard and quality of the work undertaken by Newtown Renovations. They replaced all the original Victorian windows in my flat with new sash and case windows constructed to the original plans, but with double-glazing.
