We elected to use Newtown renovations to replace sash windows in a conservation area.

They dealt with the whole process from liaising with an architect to file and gain the appropriate listed building consent, making and installing the new windows into the existing cases plus all the joinery, draught proofing, painting etc.

Jonathon and his team are a pleasure to deal with, great communication throughout, happy to answer any questions (in our case provided water-based VOC paint) and will certainly use again!

Newtown Renovations refurbished and draft-proofed our sash-and-case windows, fitted engineered flooring in the hall and provided a highly experienced joiner for a week or so to carry out numerous repairs on our A-listed flat. We are delighted with the quality of their work and their professionalism, especially their can-do attitude and the fact they would periodically call us to make sure we were happy with the work. Newtown Renovations recently carried out a full refurbishment of my sash and case windows. Jonathon and the onsite team (Liam and Shane) kept me well informed throughout, including liaising with the painters, and everyone managed to keep the mess to a minimum, despite the understandable upheaval. I am delighted with my finished windows - they are now all fully draught-proofed, open and close smoothly and the whole flat is noticeably warmer (and quieter) now that the work has been done. We had the guys fit new sash and case windows on a dormer for our client who we were installing a new roof for.

The client was proving to be very picky and in my opinion very hard to please however, he was delighted with the work carried out by Newtown Renovations.

We will continue to use these guys for any joinery work we require on future projects.

The company provided a bespoke wall unit to house a new microwave oven. The carpenter came at the date and time agreed and although there were 1 or 2 hiccups along the way my wife and I were very satisfied with the completed work. We would certainly use Newtown Renovations again.

Had Newtown Renovations refurbish a living room, replace a garage roof (including joists) and remove a chimney.

The living room involved removing a ceiling and fireplace before fitting a new ceiling with cornice, plastering, sockets/lights and painting.

Very happy with the quality of the work and will definitely be using again. Very easy firm to work with, good eye for detail and no shortcuts taken. You can trust them to get on with the job.

We contacted Newtown Renovations in search of a joiner that could repair our broken gate which is part of an Escape Room franchise. This was a large job and after contacting numerous other joiners, we decided to use this company and are glad we did.

Sadly the gate broke for a second time due to customer misuse and they came out incredibly quickly to once again resolve the problem and further secure it from people attempting to break out of an Escape Room. We are very grateful for the communication speeds and work completed and would highly recommend them.

We had our sash and case windows replaced in order to benefit from double glazing and improved insulation. The windows are excellent quality and an exact match for the Georgian / Victorian originals. Jonathon, Thomas and the team did a great job with our attic conversion installing a fixed stairs to create a new accessible store room. All the guys were great to deal with and the quality of work has been great. It’s really transformed the look of the upstairs. Despite issues with delivery of materials we were kept informed of any delays or issues that inevitably happen in such an in depth renovation. We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness as the end of each day they made sure as much as possible the job was tidy and tools, rubbish, equipment put away. They even arranged for cleaners to come in to clean all rooms on a number of occasions throughout the works. I’d highly recommend.

Jonathon and his team installed a new shower in our New Town property and have done a fantatistic job. We have had some issues with our bathroom and after being messed around by another contractor contacted New Town Renovations after they did a brilliant job installing a new front door in our flat. In an industry where most traders cannot communicate with the clients or even turn up on time, Jonathon and his team are the complete opposite and set the bar for being head and shoulders above anyone else we have used. Always communicating with us, providing updates, doing extra work off their own backs when needed, sticking to schedule and ensuring their work is done to highest standard. Would recommend to anyone getting renovation work done.

Supply and fitting of new double glazing sashes to our bay window along with the refurbishment of the shutters that had been closed up plus painting. Also did similar for single window in back room & provided an over-haul for the window in another room. The experience was first class from start to finish - Jonathon came out as planned to measure up the job & provide an estimate. Liam then did a great job in undertaking the work & completing it to my complete satisfaction. I now have a great looking windows with double glazing and draft proofed throughout the house - batons were added to 4 windows as a wee extra. This was all done to the timescales and price agreed so have no hesitation in highly recommending Newtown Renovations

Brilliant set of built-in shelves and cupboards designed and fitted by Jonathon and the team. We were kept in touch with progress and plans as lockdown delayed thinigs. Once the joiners could get in again, the fit was quick, mess free and the finished product looks great.
