Edinburgh down pipe restoration, repair and paintingEdinburgh based New Town Rope Access is a rope access company primarily focused on building maintenance in domestic properties with limited access, where traditional solutions such as scaffolding are not practical or cost efficient.
This job required downpipe repair and restoration. Even with the difficult weather conditions we were able to complete the works on time and in a safe and professional manor.

Our latest Edinburgh project saw us painting a total of 8 downpipes and 6 flues on a Georgian building in Edinburgh's New Town. We also repaired a number of holes that we found whilst prepping the pipes.
We had previously carried out property maintenance here, restoring a number of the windows to various flats and the communal stair to this building last year, so it was a privilege to be asked to carry out the remainder of the external works.
With no access to the rear of this property rope access was the only means by which this work could be done.

NTRA did a good job. They were quick to reply to emails and issued a quote with 2 different options for the work. They were proactive in fitting the job into an earlier time slot due to a cancellation, which was much appreciated.

We live in an upper flat and had a couple of jobs:
- Vegetation removal and repointing
- Slab removal
They undertook both calmly, with confidence, and total professionalism.
From first contact, through explaining what was required, (why and how they'd do it), to dustsheet removal and liaising with the downstairs neighbours, the whole experience was faultless.
Natural communicators - in person, by email and text - and great people.
Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Communication with Matt was brilliant from the initial request for a quote followed by a number of further follow up questions and requests which were very quickly answered. The team completing the work were very efficient and professional. They also ensured I was kept updated throughout the work and highlighting any additional issues identified. They got all of the work done over three days to a very high standard and were extremely reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommended to others.

Contractors on site were great, kept me up to date with the work they were doing and took detailed photos of any issues.

I had an old flue hole filled in, the kitchen waste pipe removed and a new pipe run installed outside my third storey tenement flat. The team completely the work very quickly and to a great standard, and were a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely recommend and use again for this kind of work.

New Town Rope Access were absolutely brilliant! They repaired our downpipe on our tenement, cleared out the gutters and did general maintenance on the downpipes too. They were so efficient, professional, friendly and extremely reasonably priced too. Their email and phone communication was also very good. NTRA were quick to respond my enquiry and provided a comprehensive quote which detailed different potential costs for work that may be needed upon closer inspection (we had leaking gutters which showed after the first heavy rain of winter).
They arrived on time and followed all current government guidance minimising contact with ourselves. Upon inspecting our gutters, it turned out the amount of work to do was less than initially thought. They carried it out efficiently and the invoiced cost ended up being less than the original quote.
