I got part of the exterior of my house painted. I'm very happy with the quality of work which was done. The painter turned up when he said he would and was courteous at all times.

Malcolm and his team completed a massive overhaul of our entire flat. We bought the house and had to have treatment for damp so between the damp work and the previous owners not having decorated in (very) many years, and some dodgy decorating in the past, it needed a lot of work.
Malcolm supplied a friendly and professional team, and as the flat was empty, some days there were up to 10 people there to get the job done, which was brilliant for us as we were on a deadline to move in.
Malcolm checked in every day, updating me on progress and checking I was comfortable and understood what had been achieved each day. Malcolm even helped me think about colours and helped me with guidance about other aspects of decorating. The flat was also left tidy every day and the team cleaned up at the end of the job.
I would highly recommend Malcolm and his team; so professional, enthusiastic and at all times I felt like he truly cared about ensuring we got the result we wanted. I use trusted trader a lot and am delighted to be able to confirm Malcolm was a brilliant tradesman. Thanks for everything Malcolm!!

Was moving house early in the new year and so required the work to be done over the Christmas period. Malcolm's team were impressively hard-working.
Malcolm is very knowledgeable and happy to provide his opinion and advice.
He probably wont be the cheapest quote out there, but he knows his stuff, is trustworthy and reliable, and uses premium eco-friendly products. Worth it for the peace of mind.

Wallpaper, painting and a crack in a ceiling repaired. Friendly, efficient and timeous. Reliable and extremely tidy work, will definitely be looking for Malcolm and Lee for future work.

Malcolm wallpapered a feature wall in a bedroom for us. While I'm sure it was a small job for him, I was extremely impressed by his quick service in quoting the job and then doing the work. Malcolm sorted out a ceiling and wall after water damage. Saved the lathe and plaster, secured loose cornice and left a professional finish. Also managed this at short notice and accommodated a change to preferred start date. Couldn't have asked for better and I would not hesitate to use again.

Malcolm‘s team refurbished the common stairs in our building in Jan 2020 and I would highly recommend them.
From a communication aspect, Malcolm was very patient during the time it took from the quote to the start date (5 months) given that we had to coordinate between all 6 flats in the building and the Council to agree and arrange the work.
During the refurbishment Malcolm kept in touch regularly about questions and progress updates. He also checked the progress several times to keep close to the work.
With regards to the work itself, his team worked efficiently and was very good, polite and considerate; this was especially appreciated as we had a bereavement as well as a birth in the building during the work. They always cleaned up every night which reduced the impact on the neighbours.
Most of all, the result is fantastic and with the superb customer service I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future. Thanks a lot!

Another excellent job done by the team from Malcolm Bell. We had a number of rooms decorated. I often think how hard is it to paint a wall, but when it is done by professionals such as Malcolm Bell it just looks a different class, than had I tried to do it myself. The job included painting ceilings, walls, woodwork, papering and addition of coving to several rooms. The job is excellent and definitely a standard I could never achieve. The team are all excellent to deal with and respectful of your home and what is important for you. Best of all they take care of your home and leave it as they found it. Highly recommend, whilst not the cheapest, I firmly believe that it is worth paying just a little bit more to know the outcome will be long lasting. I can't imagine we will need to redecorate for a very long time. Quality of products recommended and supplied were first class and plenty of options were made available to me. Very grateful for an excellent job.

I had my bathroom retiled, relined and painted.
Both Ian the tiler and Dale the painter were excellent workers, they were very thorough and paid great attention to detail, taking pride in their work.
They communicated well, checking in with me when questions cropped up during the job and they tidied up after themselves every day.
I felt comfortable and relaxed with them in my home.

Malcom the boss was very pleasant, efficient and communicated well with his employees.

I would recommend this company, they may not be the cheapest but are worth every penny, will definitely use again.

Malcolm’s company were involved in the full decoration of a Victorian flat we were refurbishing in Stockbridge.
I had used Malcolm before & knew the quality of his work & his quote was extremely competitive.
Malcolm does proper decorating work in that the job is fully assessed & walls, skirtings , facings etc fully prepared before actual decorating starts. The nature of the job where planning permission was required & numerous trades were coming & going, meant a fair degree of flexibility on his part.

Malcolm and his team (on-site led by Lee, Malcolm's son) did such a fantastic job with the original renovation work, I naturally called for their help when I needed a small touch up decorating job after other trades' repair work completed. Quotation was done promptly and Malcolm put Aaron on the job for continuity of care since Aaron was part of the original team worked on my flat. CommunicatIon, workmanship, and attention to details were second to none. Malcolm and his team really take pride in their work and the professional standards they provided were excellent regardless whether it is a big job like whole flat decorating or a small touch up job! I will definitely continue to recommend them to my friends and family.

Malcolm and his team helped turning a flat into my home. Malcolm and his team are absolutely fantastic from the first phone call to arrange an appointment for a quote through the actual work to delivering the renovated flat. The whole team was very reliable, with excellent communication throughout, and their workmanship is second to none. Malcolm and his team decorated two rooms and built wardrobes, removed and reconnected radiators. Their work is of a really high standard, they are tidy, clean, polite and work really hard. They turn up in time and finish when they say, which made it really easy for me to plan other things like deliveries of wardrobes and carpet fitting.

The outside of our house was painted - a mix of surfaces including pipes, gutters, doors, iron gates, timber cladding and rendered panels - as well as a clean -up of plastic fascia panels. Overall an excellent job. The painter, Craig, was methodical and thorough and did the work without mess or any inconvenience to us. The quality of the work was very high.

Got the woodwork in the bay window of our living room painted as well as a smaller window area in a bedroom. Malcolm was prompt in replying to our query, friendly in person and gave a thorough quote for the work. He was great at communicating throughout, and the painter doing the job was always polite and on time. Very happy with the finished product and would use their services again.

Malcolm and his team wallpapered one of my walls for me - I'd bought wallpaper which was a map and I was too nervous to put it up myself.

They did a great job of preparing the newly plastered wall to ensure it was totally smooth, then putting up the wallpaper the following day.

They were friendly, efficient and very tidy and did a great job of putting up the paper. I absolutely love it.

Malcolm and his team were fabulous. This was the re decoration of a whole house. We had daily updates and a very personal approach from Malcolm. He walked us through every stage and even did extra work beyond the original brief. The painter who worked on each room was great and always tidied up. Our house was transformed into exactly what we wanted.
