I have used Malcolm and his team three times now.
I am delighted with the work, Dale is a meticulous worker and leaves everything tidy a each days end.
Malcolm kept us informed re delayed starting dates due to having to play catch up after Covid restrictions and staff illness. I was happy to wait as I knew I would be getting a good job.
The work done this summer was the hallway, a Victorian house with a huge drop from the cupola which needed a scaffold.
I would definitley recommend them and use them again.

Entire two bed, two bath, flat decorated including all walls, ceilings and woodwork. Excellent job. Took slightly longer than we anticipated, but this was due to being meticulous and was worth the wait.

Malcolm Bell has just finished our hall and we are delighted with the work. It's tough times at the moment for trades with COVID absence and supplier issues however Malcolm kept us well informed at all times with any changes to the plan. The quality of the workmanship and also the materials used are all excellent. The decorator team were all incredibly polite and accommodating to working around us in the flat at all times (working from home currently).
I honestly could not fault the service we received and will be using Malcolm again in the future.

Malcolm's team completed a suite of indoor and outdoor paint jobs for me over the past couple of weeks, delivering an excellent result while being reliable, diligent and professional throughout. Excellent results and value for money, and will definitely contact for future works.

Malcolm and his team transformed our dated bay windows and surrounding skirting board from a dark wooden varnish to a matt white finish, ensuring any imperfections in the wood were improved prior to painting. The communication was excellent from start to finish and we were extremely happy with the end result and wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any other decorating work we need. Had most of our house redecorated by Malcolm and his team. There were some tricky aspects with the wall papering, feature walls, high ceilings and hidden doors but the end result was stunning. Work completed quickly, and you wouldn't even know the painters had been in - the clean up was spot on. The cost was as agreed, and contact with Malcolm was regular and helpful.

They painted all my kitchen cupboards. The firm were very professional. The work carried out was excellent and the decorator was very clean and tidied up after he finished every day. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

Malcolm decorated two rooms in my rental property for me - the newly renovated kitchen and the living room, including restoring an alcove/press and creating a smooth wall where there was a blocked up fireplace. He was very good to work with, regularly calling me with updates and checking with me when any queries arose. Very high quality work and good communication and advice from Malcolm throughout. Dale who did the work turned up on time everyday and all work was carried out in tidy way and to a high standard.

We have been very impressed by Malcolm's team. We got 3 bedrooms, a study, and a hallway across 3 levels painted. They were extremely thorough and careful with all the prep and have done a very neat job of the painting.
Communication from Malcolm and from his team was excellent. The painters headed by Lee were lovely people to have in our house - maybe not the first thing you look for in a painter but it made the whole process stress-free and relaxed. They were helpful, friendly, respectful and tidy.

Malcolm’s team decorated our dining room and living room. They have done a fantastic job - the rooms are beautifully done and they guys were polite and tidy at all times. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Ground floor Victorian house, front exterior paintwork: 3 window frames (large bay sash windows), double storm doors and surround, canopy over front door. Existing paint was stripped, primed and painted (2 coats). Front entrance steps (stone): power washed to remove loose, flaking paint then epoxy sprinkled with aggregate (non slip) applied and finished with 2nd coat epoxy sealer.
Quote supplied within 48hrs of initial request, work started promptly within the week and was completed on schedule. Excellent communication direct from Malcolm Bell throughout; always informed in advance of planned stages of work and of tradesmen's arrival dates. Painters always arrived on time and were efficient, professional, tidy, helpful and polite. All preparation, painting and work on steps was carried out to a high standard, using good quality and appropriate paint and materials. The original paintwork was in poor condition (old, flaking layers of gloss) and the thorough preparation carried out enabled the excellent finish achieved – crisp, smart and professional. Would use again for future work; happy to recommend.

High quality work by tidy and reliable tradesmen. A tricky stairwell and panelled hallway done with attention to detail.

I would highly recommend Malcolm and the team and I will definitely be using them again in the future. Having never used a decorating service before I was unsure as to what to expect. However due to the attention to detail given by the team and the high standard of the finish I am so happy I decided to go with Malcolm.
