Malcolm's team completed a suite of indoor and outdoor paint jobs for me over the past couple of weeks, delivering an excellent result while being reliable, diligent and professional throughout. Excellent results and value for money, and will definitely contact for future works.

I have used Malcolm and his team several times now and would recommend him wholeheartedly. His work is to an exceptionally high standard and I would not now use another decorator in Edinburgh. The preparation work in particular is thorough and provides excellent results, and he and his team are always a pleasure to talk to. He communicates well throughout progress of the work, and provides quick solutions to problems that crop up.

Malcolm and his team transformed our dated bay windows and surrounding skirting board from a dark wooden varnish to a matt white finish, ensuring any imperfections in the wood were improved prior to painting. The communication was excellent from start to finish and we were extremely happy with the end result and wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any other decorating work we need. Had most of our house redecorated by Malcolm and his team. There were some tricky aspects with the wall papering, feature walls, high ceilings and hidden doors but the end result was stunning. Work completed quickly, and you wouldn't even know the painters had been in - the clean up was spot on. The cost was as agreed, and contact with Malcolm was regular and helpful.

Malcolm decorated two rooms in my rental property for me - the newly renovated kitchen and the living room, including restoring an alcove/press and creating a smooth wall where there was a blocked up fireplace. We have been very impressed by Malcolm's team. We got 3 bedrooms, a study, and a hallway across 3 levels painted. They were extremely thorough and careful with all the prep and have done a very neat job of the painting.

Malcolm’s team decorated our dining room and living room. They have done a fantastic job - the rooms are beautifully done and they guys were polite and tidy at all times. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Ground floor Victorian house, front exterior paintwork: 3 window frames (large bay sash windows), double storm doors and surround, canopy over front door. Existing paint was stripped, primed and painted (2 coats). Front entrance steps (stone): power washed to remove loose, flaking paint then epoxy sprinkled with aggregate (non slip) applied and finished with 2nd coat epoxy sealer.
Quote supplied within 48hrs of initial request, work started promptly within the week and was completed on schedule. Excellent communication direct from Malcolm Bell throughout; always informed in advance of planned stages of work and of tradesmen's arrival dates. Painters always arrived on time and were efficient, professional, tidy, helpful and polite. All preparation, painting and work on steps was carried out to a high standard, using good quality and appropriate paint and materials. The original paintwork was in poor condition (old, flaking layers of gloss) and the thorough preparation carried out enabled the excellent finish achieved – crisp, smart and professional. Would use again for future work; happy to recommend.

Malcolm and the team decorated my entire property from top to bottom. As it is a very old converted steading remedial works were required to plaster. Walls needed to be be filled, smoothed over and existing papers removed and re-lined. The finish is outstanding. Better than I could have hoped for given the original condition and what’s more I added extra tasks through out the job and nothing was a problem.

I’m glad I followed Malcolm’s advice and did the whole property as I originally only requested a couple of rooms. The overall feel is fresh and light and has turned the cottage into a lovely rental property from one that was quite run down.

Having not used a decorator before I can now see the value in the work. The lengthy prep work done by the team has given it a class finish. Thank you to Malcolm, lee and the team. I am looking forward to the day my residential home needs doing!

They were friendly, efficient, flexible in approach, punctual and hard working. Malcolm kept us informed at all times, regularly checking if we were happy with the work. They use eco-friendly materials and it looks great! Very pleased with all aspects of the job.

We had our walls and bedroom radiator painted (including panels), marble island re-sealed, backsplash re-tiled, radiator replaced and new valves placed. We had an excellent experience.
