We renovated our small bathroom, MJ Joinery did a great job, and returned a couple of times at the end to clear up some minor issues which inevitably crop up.

External paintwork and bedroom complete redecoration with overboarding to the ceiling and plastering before painting ceiling and walls. The team also lifted and removed the old carpet.
The joiners, painters, plasterers and the customer service were all absolutely fabulous. Helpful, professional, respectful and clean. I have no hesitation in recommending the company.

My contact with Matthew began when he came to assess work to be done in my kitchen. Faced, on his first visit, with a series of problems stemming from earlier unsatisfactory work which had been done, he put in place a schedule of work to address the problems. A quotation accepted, a starting date was established and was followed by a period of steady, careful work which resolved all these problems. The men were punctual, hard working and patient, ready to find ways of solving unanticipated snags along the way and I was delighted with the end result.

I was grateful to Matthew for being prepared to undertake this rather unattractive project. He was, throughout, courteous, attentive and well organised and I would be very happy to recommend him to others.

Excellent work on both a kitchen and bathroom refurbishment. Very good planning and reliably executied work on dates planned. Very good at keeping in regular communication. Also did a good job in resolving some third party supply issues.

From my first point of contact with Matthew, the communication about the work from Kirsty and the laying of flooring by Luke and Tom, I could not have felt in better hands for my work. Friendly and efficient as a team, I am absolutely delighted with my new floors. So much so, that Im getting the team back to do some more work done already.Luke and Tom did a brilliant job, even dealt with an unexpected issue; removing a bath and replacing the floorboards all in the time frame they initially agreed.

Matthew, Luke and Kirsty and the rest of the team were fantastic. Highly recommend their work. They did a kitchen, two bathrooms and another room, knocked through box rooms in a top floor tenement. They were exceptionally speedy and efficient and did a really high quality job throughout. They also dealt rapidly with any snagging or problems that occurred. Highly recommend.

Loft conversion
We had an attic converted in a thirties-built property. From the initial contact through quoting stage, the build and some additional jobs following the completion of the project itself the MJ team were phenomenal.
I am really impressed by the work ethic, quality of work, craftsmanship and brilliant customer service. The entire team are just absolutely brilliant.
Kirsty and Matthew were fantastic and super helpful answering hundreds of questions and finetuning the quote (not all companies want to work on projects where the client doesn't want a turnkey product but not MJ joinery) and communication was fantastic even before the project started. Probably the most responsive business I've ever dealt with.
James, Gregor and David were fabulous when on site. Always on time, always smiling, very tidy - even the messiest of jobs were done in the way that minimised the mess and the team always cleaned up at the end of each day. I'm particularly impressed by attention to detail and the problem-solving skills. The way the joiners went about solving some tricky problems was a joy to watch. Really professional excellent craftsmen.
The attic used to be just an empty space and MJ Joinery transformed it into a cosy, fresh, well insulated space and I can't get enough of it. I have been recommending MJ Joinery to everyone who asks and will definitely be using them if I ever need to build anything.
The project was delivered on time, on budget (quote was incredibly accurate) and a few minor snags were remediated as soon as I reported them.

I am absolutely delighted with both the process and the end results. MJ managed all of the other trades. They were on site as required and I think this is testament to excellent and trusted relationships the trades enjoy. We had a new kitchen, new appliances, new flooring and new external doors. Everything went according to plans and timetable. I would definitely look no further than MJ Joinery for any future work.

MJ Joinery renovated our kitchen, replaced our bathroom ceiling with new PUV panels, and improved our kitchen storage room. The team members were very friendly. Incredibly helpful. Happy to take on a relatively small job of altering the kitchen to install a dishwasher. All the team were polite with excellent communication, very positive and upbeat. Work itself is perfectly finished to a high standard.

Renovation and flat conversion in the city centre

Matthew, James and the team renovated part of our category B listed property, installing insulation, new roof lights and French doors, completely transforming the space. They were complete professionals throughout. They understood our vision and specific requests, managed all aspects of the project, kept us informed of progress, completed the works within the original estimated timeframe and, most importantly, the work was completed to a really high standard. We couldn't have been happier with their service from start to finish.

Matt and Tom were excellent. Matt initially came to review the hallway and provided a really thorough overview of what he could do with a really reasonable quote. The service was excellent and the finish is to an excellent standard as well; im really happy with the job and it’s transformed my hallway.

I had some custom cupboards built by Matthew and his team. I am incredibly pleased with the end result but even more so with Matthew, James and Martin who did the work and the entire service of this professional and reliable business.

Matthew and his team built and fitted a cupboard under a staircase in our house. The work was discussed in detail beforehand and an estimate provided, which was the same as the final bill. I had old case & sash windows removed, replaced with pvc turn & tilt windows, new worktop & splashback installed. Matthew talked me through different options for the work I was looking for and found the best option for me. Nathan and Tom were really professional, they arrived on time each day and always made sure my home was left tidy and clean at the end of the day. Nathan ensure I was kept up to date with the work going on and consulted me on any amendments that were required, as well as suggesting additional changes that made a real difference such as the extension of the splashback in to a corner. Quality of work is fantastic and would definitely recommend.
