I have used this firm twice recently and have nothing but praise for them. From the initial call when a polite and friendly person answered all my questions to making a time for an appointment. Craig arrived on time and resurrected all the lamps that weren't working plus temporarily getting some of the bathroom lights working. He returned a few weeks later to put in new fittings in the bathroom. I am an older person with limited eye sight and it has been wonderful to find a firm who are personable and do what they say they are going to do in good time. Thank you Alan, Andrew and Craig! Various work done- installation of new sockets at various sites, new kitchen LED lights, fix of a longstanding issue with bedroom ceiling light etc. Both electricians undertaking the work were friendly, helpful and efficient. They arrived on time and the whole process of organising the job was seamless and very efficient. I don't usually leave reviews. Most tradesmen are much of a muchness and giving 5 star reviews for what is in truth an average level of work isn't my style. But this company are a cut above. I had a security light fitted by them a couple of years ago. Recently it stopped working. It was within the warranty period, so I got in touch with them. They replaced the light no problem. Great service, very friendly. Highly recommended.

While initially asking for a quote for works, Andrew was able to complete the jobs, including purchasing some additional equipment, within a reasonable timescale. Just got on with it and explained what he was doing and why and then organised how things worked.

Andrew is a good communicator and is reliable, always turned up on time. He identified an issue with the supply coming into the building and gave clear and concise advice on who to contact to get the matter resolved. All of the work undertaken in the house was carried out to a high standard and invoices were issued promptly, with no surprise extras in the bills!

I had Andrew come and do a number of jobs for me.

Had a new hob fitted, new extractor, two lights changed and a new double plug fitted.
He was on time, very tidy, very clean, well presented and had good chat.
He also provided a light bulb and IKEA hanger when I didn't have the correct ones.
He was also really efficient and got the job done quickly.

Andrew was wonderful! We had a major electrical re-wiring that needed to be done inside our listed mews property (seems that prior to purchasing it, there had been faulty electrical work done on it), and Andrew was truly a gem at getting it all fixed. He must have been in the house 3 times a week at some points, making sure there were no live switches etc. He really put in the extra work and time to make sure everything was safe and working exactly as I would have wanted!

Andrew is professional, polite, trustworthy, helpful and exceptionally tidy. He fitted a new consumer unit and smoke alarms efficiently and neatly in my Edinburgh flat, leaving it clean. He arrived on time, was very pleasant and competent. The quote was slightly less competitive than others, but after chatting to him he seemed reliable and a someone who would behave decently, which for me is always worth the money.

Contacted Lumen by email and phone and received prompt replies each time. Andrew turned up exactly when he said he would. The job to replace the stair lightbulb and starter only took 5 mins.
A copy of the invoice was received later the same day. Very happy with the service received, would recommend and use this company again.

I contacted Andrew to service the stairwell lights in our tenement block. Prompt communication via email and he came out the next morning. He was friendly and professional and did a great job. We can now see where we’re going!
