Lumen upgraded our outside lighting after we moved house. Andrew's initial site visit was helpful and he had some useful ideas. The job was done with cheerful efficiency on the day agreed and we are very happy with the finished result.

Power supply was renewed to sitting room light & single socket converted to double socket.

I had a new fuse box and wall sockets installed along with some old wiring/electric meter removed the first time I used Lumen. They did which a great job, I had them come back to install some ceiling lights and remove wall lights from my lounge. I have been completely satisfied with the work they have done. My sister and I replaced our smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms (which had reached their expiry date) and installed a smoke alarm in our sitting room, in accordance with the new government regulations. Both Andrew and his colleagues who carried out the work on the arranged date were friendly, professional and efficient and everything was left in an immaculate condition.

I engaged Lumen to replace all my smoke/heat alarms, as per current legislation, which included installation of an additional alarm in a new required location. When Jordan the electrician did the initial assessment, he identified that my current consumer unit (some 20 years old and installed before my tenure in the house) did not have the required RCD protection built-in. The work, including installation of a new consumer unit was completed in early May to my total satisfaction. I particularly commend Lumen for the following: responsiveness to communication (quote came within 24 hours and installation date quickly followed acceptance); transparent itemised quotations; experienced, qualified and speedy execution of work. I commend also Jordan the electrician, who undertook my work, for his clear and patient communication in explaining things I was not familiar with. it is possible you may find cheaper quotes elsewhere, but I prefer to have confidence in the quality of work and competence of those doing it. Lumen deliver that and I will be using them again later in the year.

Consumer unit replaced and new wiring for a cooker. Highly recommended. Very easy to organise work and communicate with company. Staff were punctual, pleasant and work was carried out to a high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Had smoke and heat alarms installed. Sockets checked and repaired. Had some problem with a movement sensor on a light fitting which was resolved satisfactorily. Other general work carried out. Excellent service and would use again.

Lumen Electrical recently provided power to my shed, with a separate consumer box, light and mains sockets inside and outside the shed. Jordan from Lumen did the work to a very high standard and he was professional and polite through and through. Jordan quickly informed me of an issue with there being no spare RCD circuit for connecting to my main consumer box in the house. However he quickly provided a solution to the issue by rewiring an underused circuit, thereby freeing up an RCD, which he then upgraded in order to provide the correct maximum current going to the shed.

Lumen provided a very competitive quote for the works.

It is great to find an honest reliable contractor such as Lumen when sadly these seem to be few and far between these days. I highly recommend Lumen Electrical based on the work they provided me.
