Used Lumen Electrical recently to upgrade my fuse box and replace storage heaters with electric radiators. Work was carried out to a high quality and in timely fashion, quick and helpful communication, and Andrew and Conor were both friendly and professional. I will be using them again if I need more electrical work done.

Extractor fitted in bathroom and installation of security light outside door. Andrew was very patient with my many emails regarding work to be carried out. Organised roofer and electrician to coincide with work being carried out. Rab the roofer arrived when he said, very polite and helpful, also very tidy. Connor and Jack, electrician were also very polite, tidied up as they went along, took away all the packaging, left the house spotless once finished. Very happy with work carried out cannot fault any of the guys, would highly recommend them for electrical jobs. Well done guys.

I was happy that they confirmed they would take the job on in leith area and they followed up with reminders and called before the appointment. Quote and length of the job was delivered as promised. We have used Lumen twice over the past year and received excellent service on both occasions. Andrew was professional, helpful, on time and great value, and his communication was swift and helpful. We felt full confidence in his work, especially after a less-than-good experience with a different electrician. He listened to what we wanted, gave helpful advice and did the job well.

We first used Andrew to do some general small jobs in our flat (fit a light, cap off an old plug and repair our communal landing light) and then again when our communal tenement stair lights completely failed. Andrew had advised on his first visit while repairing our landing light that the stair lighting system was extremely old and would likely fail at some point. He was proved right just a few months later and I had no hesitation in recommending him to the rest of the tenement tenants to do the work of a full rewire, replacement lights and timing system. The quote was reasonable and the work was completed on time without mess or fuss. The lights now work better than before, with the added advantage of having guaranteed emergency lighting in the event of a power cut, which we did not have before. Andrew recommended these type of lights and it provides peace of mind for the future. I will certainly use Andrew's services again and recommend him without hesitation.

Andrew has been out a couple of times - initially to assess light fixtures when we bought a property and then to install and repair various issues with lighting, inside and outside. He's polite, punctual and we are very happy with all the work he has done for us.

Needed an additional socket installed in kitchen and an exterior light replaced. Andrew was excellent in communicating with me, providing a quote promptly and arranging a suitable appointment to have the work done.

Excellent work carried out for light fittings in kitchen. Andrew turned up when he said he would and was tidy, efficient and safe. More recently I asked Andrew to replace my smoke alarms with interlinked ones. Rather than accept the job and charge me, Alan suggested the alarms may already be interlinked and explained how I would check. This proved to be the case, saving me several hundred pounds - thanks to Andrew's knowledge and honesty.

Lumen Electrical swapped out our old electric oven for a new one, including installing new sockets and some wiring. All done efficiently and courtesy. Arrived on time, and bill charged was the amount quoted, no hidden surprises.

Smoke detectors etc supplied and fitted to comply with new legislation. Good advice given and job very promptly done. Electrician was polite and efficient and explained clearly how wireless system worked. We have used Lumen Electrical in the past and would recommend.

I contacted Lumen to get my new smoke alarms installed. I have also used them previously when I had a problem with my kitchen lights that two other electricians couldn't fix - Craig identified the issue straight away and fixed it for me. The office are always very quick to respond and book you in, and Craig the electrician is very friendly, punctual, and does a super job. Booking and invoicing was always swift and straightforward. Highly recommended - I wouldn't use any other electrician.
