We're delighted with our new patio and pathways. The job wasn't straightforward due to the slope of the garden, but Robin listened to our slightly vague vision and came up with a great design at a reasonable cost. Ari did exactly what we wanted and much more, suggesting alterations and improvements along the way. The area is completely transformed! The team was a pleasure to have around, arriving on time and always keeping us updated on their progress.

I needed steep steps at the back of my garden levelled from 3 steps to 8. I had quotes from a previous company and was not satisfied, so I found Kingsknowe. The difference in attitude and delivery was amazing. These guys delivered a quality product (Indian sandstone mixed size slabs) and the workmanship was first class, also only took 3 days, something I appreciated. Would have no hesitation in recommending their work.

Kingsknowe helped us replace a garden wall that had been damaged and was in danger of falling over into the road. Their representative was quick to come out and assess the site, and returned a quote within a few days. They also provided us with good advice on the structure of the replacement and whether we needed planning permission (we did not, as it turned out).
The work was removal of the old wall, the construction of a 5x2m garden wall in brick including foundation and with a garden gate fitted in the middle. They also added the additional work of replacing an unrelated cracked window sill while they were there.
Once we gave them the go ahead to commence, they started within days and had several men on site each day for the entire build. The workers were friendly, the workmanship was of the highest quality and they were very receptive to the minor adaptations we asked for as they progressed. The site was always left tidy and secure at the end of each day, and leftover materials and waste was removed without problems.
We can only recommend Kingknowe and we would definitely use them again if we had similar work in the future.

Good communication. Quotation arranged quickly and work commenced within the agreed timescale. Old steps at our front door, approximately 2.5m wide, replaced with nice new slabs. Very pleased with the work carried out by polite, hard working guys. Area cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely recommend.

I gave Robin dimensioned drawings and a basic description of the two tasks which were required in the back garden: 1) to create a solid/level foundation for a summerhouse and gazebo and 2) to create a walled garden border with topsoil for shrubs and trees.
Result - Superb job well done Robin, thanks for your eforts and good management.
The foundation as built is exactly the specified size, location and height, very well finished and as good as I could have hoped for.
The wall for the garden is very well done in terms of proportions, heights curvature and it looks fine. The existing grass was replaced with a load of lovely black topsoil so now we are well pleased and ready for the next planting season.
The guys were prompt, courteous, very hard working (no extended mobile phone breaks or foul language) and they did a good job of tidying up afterwards.

Our garden looks great! It was on a slope and like a swamp. The guys dug it all out, levelled it off and paved it perfectly. We now have the best place to hang out during the summer!
Kingsknowe were so prompt in starting/completing the work. Constantly updating us and kept in touch. They were so brilliant at helping us stick to budget while making it the best it could be.

Absolutely outstanding service from the kingsknowe builders! I recently had a brand new drive way built in replacement of my old front garden and I cannot fault anything. The guys were punctual and polite, and also kept their working space as clean and tidy as they could, there was never any problems or bumps in the road during the whole process. Darren and the team done a fantastic job on my patio area. The quality of the work was outstanding, the team turned up on the agreed time and completed the works ahead of schedule and on budget, even though the Mrs changed here mind a couple of times, wasn’t an issue, even collaborate with her and what can I say, fantastic results and craftsmanship. After we bought our new home, we soon found out that water from the driveway was leaking into the garage. Any heavy rain and our garage was flooded! We had Darren come round to inspect and offer a fantastic solution. He discovered the drain was decorative and the driveway was off camber to the ‘drain’. The solution provided was very effective which included angled guttering, new drainage pipes being rerouted and the monoblocks being reset accordingly. His team completed this job very effectively and in super quick time. No more driveway and garage flooding. Absolutely amazing solution from Kingsknowe Building & Landscaping. Highly recommended.
