Rhys and Robbie did a superb job installing our garden fence and shed. The garden looks so much better now. The fence is right next to the trainline, so not the easiest of jobs, but that did not seem to be a problem for them. They also arranged removal of the old fence and kindly disposed of some other wooden waste from the garden, unrelated to the job. The service was speedy and of high quality and we always got a fast responses via email. This is the 2nd time we used their services and would definitely use them again.

Macauley Pryde and his team from JD Gardening Ltd did an excellent job removing some fruit trees from my garden that were growing too close to the boundary wall. The whole process was straightforward and simple, from requesting a quotation to having the work scheduled and completed. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleared away all of the debris, leaving the garden and pathway clean and tidy. There was a couple of issues to start with, but these were sorted out straight away. The guys came on time and kept me updated throughout. I have a section of lawn that I needed to raise up by 20cm at one side, the other side remaining at the same level.
The first problem was that having discussed a start date with them they failed to book it in, they only discovered this when I phoned to ask them why they hadn't turned up. The result of this was a one month delay which greatly inconvenienced me.
The second problem was that when they did turn up I discovered that they were going dump soil on top of the old grass and then returf on top. When I booked them I took it as a given that they would know that unless the underlying grass was removed the result would be that as it rotted and compressed it would upset the level and cause bumpiness.
No turfing companies think that it is a good idea to returf on top of an existing lawn. Fortunately they did agree to remove the old grass, otherwise it would have been a deal breaker.

On this occasion, we needed out of control shrubs pruned back to a manageable height and shaped appropriately. The team of three arrived on time and after discussing our instructions, given at the time of obtaining an estimate, they set to and worked steadily for about three hours. The team leader did consult us regarding a couple of points whist the work was in progress and offered us his advice which was appreciated.
The team members were well presented and equipped with all the necessary tools for the job. They were polite at all times.
The firm's IT is efficient and their office staff helpful.
We have used this "young" firm before for garden work and have no hesitation in recommending them.

JDS installed a new shed and laid some slabs on my allotment. Communication was excellent throughout, which was vital for me to provide access to the site. They re-used existing materials where possible, cleaned up and took away all rubbish, including the old shed. The new shed is great quality and the slabs provide a great level base for a planned greenhouse. The chaps who carried out the work were polite, friendly and mindful of neighbouring plotholders. I would happily use JDS again.

Firstly, it's very easy to contact JDS by phone and they are very, very helpful. My job was quite small - a small tree needed straightened and properly supported. I've had a few gardeners try to do it and fail. So I needed tree experts. JDS sent Liam and Louis who straightened the tree and put a rabbit-, fox- and badger-proof fence round it.
There is a minimum call-out charge, so the guys continued working for the time that was paid for. There were several jobs I got them to do - like pruning, and clearing flower beds and then putting a layer of mulch on them
The garden looks great.
And all this was done on a very wet day - with not a word of complaint.
I could not be more pleased with my dealings with JDS. A really professional local company.

My garden fence, which was blown down during the storms of January 2024, was replaced by JDS. From first contact agreeing to the quote, the job was done impressively quickly. The two guys who carried out the work were lovely - polite, efficient and hard working. They tidied up afterwards too. I am a bit unsure of the gate, which I wanted to be double sided. However, when it was explained this would make the gate very heavy, it would drop over time and make unlocking/locking it difficult, I took the advice to have it only single sided. It means I can see through the gate, whereas I would much prefer if the slats had been close together without spaces. However, apart from that, I am very happy with the finished Job.

Our fence blew down in the storm. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the job the service was speedy and efficient. They arrived promptly both mornings and despite torrential rain the first day they worked right through. Once the job was finished I asked them to come back and sort something out for me which they did quickly and without question.

I liked everything about this firm. From the quotation request visit, the keeping me informed of date for job to be done, the office staff and the way the job was carried out, was first class. I was very impressed with the work ethic of the two operatives who did my job as they checked with me at various points during the work, worked very efficiently, were most courteous and did a great cleaning up at the end of the job. We had our back fence renewed, the old fence had been up for 28 years!! It was agreed that the work could be completed when we were on holiday for a few days. I received confirmation that the guys would be there about 8.30am and I received a note at 16.05 to say that the job was completed. When we got home apart from the great looking fence you would not have known that anybody had been in our garden. Great job and I would definitely recommend JDS Gardening.

Dead clematis removed from crown of rowan tree and crab apple, which it was strangling, and the root extracted. This was done with great care and no damage to other plants, excellent as it was an awkward job as this area of garden was very congested. The two trees are now flourishing. All the debris was cleared away. The two gardeners doing the work arrived in good time and were careful and polite. The whole experience was excellent.

Excellent and modern company. Josh runs a tight ship. From quote to job done to billing - everything ran like clockwork. We used JDS to remove some plants, install a fence, and put down some pebbles/gravel. The guys turned up when they said they would and went the extra mile to ensure the job was done to a high standard (e.g. treating fence posts with bitumen to preserve the wood, laying a membrane beneath our pebbles to reduce weed growth), and that we were happy with the work done (e.g. trimming 20cm off every single fence panel to make sure it was the height we wanted). All without a grumble, despite the snow(!) A great thing about this company is they send out teams of 2-3 guys to do the work, which means things are completed quickly. Very impressed. Would definitely use again.

I required a dilapidated small fence to be removed and replaced. My enquiry was responded to very quickly and an acceptable quotation provided following a site inspection. The work was then completed within a couple of weeks, being done very efficiently and with the site left very tidy.

JDS Gardening took down an old garden fence and replaced it with a new one, which was build from scratch rather than with panels.
From the start when a surveyor came out to inspect the site right to the end when the finished product was handed over JDS was very professional. They were on time, even pulled the project forward a bit. There were updates throughout and the site was left very tidy.
With regards to the fence, they couldn't have done a better job. It is super solid, will last for a long time and even looks much better than the old one.
I couldn't fault them at all.

These guys are brilliant, I was having a nightmare with a monster sycamore tree, that had literally taken over mine and my neighbours garden. Due to its size I was extremely worried about who to get to remove it, and about the high price it may cost, I called josh and he advised and reassured me that the job wouldn't be a problem, and the price was great, mac and seb were prompt, professional, trustworthy and what skill mac has, scaling and managing such an enormous tree, he glided about with ease. They tidied up everything and chopped up the wood into logs for me to use in the log burner, they have solved for me what has been a headache for years, thanks lads, would definitely recommend and will use them again. Would post a photo if I knew how to.

We have used Josh and his team before and always found them reliable. We had a large tree stump in the middle of a grass area which Josh came in and removed really quickly and efficiently. The stump and roots were removed well below the grass level as requested. Josh then tided up afterwards leaving the area looking great. We will definitely use JDS Gardening again and have recommendEd them to friends and family.

We have been aiming to employ a gardening firm now for quite a while, as our large and unruly garden had become a bit of a headache, especially finding enough time to attend to it, to keep it at the high standard a proper gardener would achieve. From this online feedback forum and also reviewing their webpage, it sounded like JDS Gardening were exactly what we were looking for. From the initial online request, to the face to face engagement with Josh, when he visited to scope out the job, it has been a brilliant experience dealing with this firm. We are so pleased we chose them. In the short space of 3 weeks, our garden was completely transformed from an overgrown mess, into a tidy and inviting space. The team attended regularly over that period, having prioritised the large amount of required work into a logical order for attention. At each stage we received communication about appointment times etc. and they set clear expectations of what would be achieved in each visit, matched against our original quotation. The team members are friendly, polite, punctual and they arrive and just get stuck into the task at hand with no time wasted. It has been a great experience. We are continuing to use their maintenance services on a regular 2 weekly pattern, where they visit at a pre-arranged time and ensure the garden is all kept tidy and up to scratch. Although there has been a financial investment needed to reach this stage, we have no regrets and are so glad we chose wisely, selecting a hard working, reliable and professional firm. We would thoroughly recommend JDS Gardening for any size of job, large or small, due to their reliability and dedicated service. Thanks guys, you’re the best!

Josh was very prompt in quoting for the work and and then fitting us into his busy schedule at a time to suit us. The work included laying a paving slab base for a summer house, re-positioning a rockery, hedge-cutting, pressure washing the patio, trimming shrubs and weeding. Josh installed a first class fence in my front garden and levelled off the ground to make the garden easier for me to manage. Josh was very prompt with quoting for the work and arrived on time at agreed date completing the work in I might add dreadful weather conditions!

Great company and service....do a great job at a very reasonable price. I've been using them for several years now. These are proper gardeners and landscapers NOT cowboys... I can had ghly recommend them for large and small jobs....they cut my grass and last year took down a massive 15 MTR thick hedge in the garden. Both done perfectly, quickly and not expensively.
