They hit a few unexpected snaggs which were dealt with at no additional cost or hassle to us. We are delighted with the new windows and have had complements from neighbours. We had 11 new windows and 2 new doors supplied and fitted by J W Glazing and Joinery. We are delighted with the quality of the products and also with the standard of the workmanship. In fact the whole JW team were very professional in all aspects - whilst also being super friendly.

We had 6 windows fitted and a back door fitted. JW glazing and joinery were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Best quote we received. Quick, clean and tidy. A very professional job by two guys that know their trade.

Just had 10 internal doors replaced. From the very beginning Craig has been very transparent regarding timescales and price, and delivered on these. The whole team were a pleasure to have in the house, did a great job, were clean and tidy. They were also very keen to ensure we were happy with the job when finished, going the extra mile here and there! I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I was replacing all the windows in my flat an Edinburgh tenement. White PVC Double glazing was already there being replaced with new white PVC double glazing. Altogether there were 6 windows to do, 3 in a bay window arrangement, 2 bathroom ones with privacy glass, and 1 in the bedroom. I am on the third floor, and they were able to do this from inside the building without needing to put up scaffolding. The cost for this work was just slightly below £5000, which was almost the same as one of the other quotes I got, and £1000 lower than the third quote I got (organised around November 2023)

Of the three traders I asked for quotes this was the only one who came out in person to do the quote. The other two refused to come out to quote and wanted me to take rough measurements for them to use, and would not measure, visit or discuss options themselves unless I confirmed I was going with them (despite those two also being recommended on which).

I went ahead with J W Glazing and it's been a straight forward process. The two people who came to do the quote for were helpful and friendly told me about the options I had, and answered all my questions. I was reassured they could also look at the space, as the windows in the bathroom were hard to access with the bath in front of one and the loo in front of the other as well as an awkward sloped roof. They let me know the timescale for getting the work done. Windows aren't a standard size so are made to order which was expected to take 8-12 weeks. Once I confirmed I was going ahead with then they put the order in and were they able to update me with a more exact time scale of when they were expected to be ready.

Once the windows had arrived back with them they called to arrange a time for the work, and were able to come to install them about a week and a half later.

Three guys came to install them and remove the old ones and they were pleasant and congenial while they were working. The new ones went in without trouble and I'm happy with how they came out. They also cleaned up well afterwards and as they were going along, and cleaned the windows when they finished, so they were sparkling. Between the old ones being a bit damaged and quite dirty it's a bit like I've put glasses on when I look out the window at the moment with how clean and clear they are.

They've also been easy to contact all the way though, which has made things much easier. Getting the windows put in with J W Glazing has definitely been one of the smoother sailing trades experiences I've had. I've not had problems to bring up so I don't know how well they deal with that or not, but I am happy with the work they did for me.

Got in a couple of patio doors. Great quality work. We could tell the new doors were better than the old ones, they let in no draft and reduced outside noise noticeably. Installers were professional and friendly. Would recommend.
