I had 2 x EICRs carried out on my rental properties and I needed 2 fuseboard upgrades, the quotes were emailed quickly and the work has been completed efficiently, I would thoroughly recommend this company. From my initial call to final certificates being received the service has been excellent.

Installation and replacement of outside security lights. Two young lads who knew what they were doing made a fine job of the work even staying on longer to complete the work on the day agreed despite it being a Friday!

IES carried out electrical and gas inspections and remedial work for me so that I could apply for a short term lets licence. They were very friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with. It was great being able to talk to a nice, friendly real person (Lisa) when I had any questions. All their contractors and staff arrived on time, were polite and efficient and left the place clean and tidy.

Excellent service provided in repairing burning wires from a shower switch. Staff at all stages, from phoning to report, to the electrician that did the work, were professional and friendly. Upfront about the costs with no obligation to accept, and easy to pay afterwards with a modern online payment system. Would use for any future electircal work I need.

I’ve used Ideal Electrical Solutions for a few different jobs and I’ve always been really happy with the service they provide.
We’ve had new heaters installed, new power sockets added/moved, light fixtures installed/fixed and a hot water booster switch installed.
All worked carried out well and the jobs have gone smoothly. They guys are friendly and do a great job.
Will always use these guys for electrical work needing done.

Had 3 hard wired smoke detectors replaced to conform to the new Regulations and additional heat and carbon monoxide detectors also fitted. Prompt efficient reply to my enquiry. Quote given and accepted by me the same day.

Two visits, 1st to inspect and quote, 2nd to carry out. Fairly minor repair to old wiring. Engineer carrying out job found a couple of nasties but did pragmatic repair rather than condemn it all or leave me with no hot water. He also suggested putting in an isolator switch, not in original quote but I thought it seemed a good idea. And…..was charged no extra at all for that!!

I've been using Ideal Electrical Solutions for a number of years now for my domestic electrical needs. They have replaced bathroom extractors, fitted additional plugs in my electrical installation, advised on electrical vehicle chargers, fitted domestic fire alarms to comply with Scottish regulations and now installed me some new light fittings. They are always prompt to respond to my quotation requests. They have an online invoicing system to allow fast payments and they just provide generally good service which is very difficult to find with Edinburgh tradesman. Overall I've not had any issues using Ideal Electrical Solutions and I would fully recommend them to anyone looking for a solid reliable electrician.

PAT testing done, this is a yearly service we use on a rented flat. IES are always helpful and contact our tenant themselves to arrange to visit. Service is always fast and efficient.
