Ideal Electrical Solutions came when my boiler pretty much 'blew up' and the emergency heating engineer advised I needed an electrician. IES were recommended and, when I explained the circumstance - that the thermostat had overheated and blown to the point of smoking, they came in less than two hours and checked/replaced the related sockets and wiring, making it safe for the heating engineer to replace the thermostat.

They were extremely helpful and efficient and spoke directly to the heating engineer about the work required. The electrician explained the difference in the wiring/socket he had used so I had no concerns at all and there was no mess left after the work was finished

The charge was very reasonable and I would have no hesitation in using IES again or recommending them to anyone else. They gave me complete peace of mind that things were done correctly and I wouldn't have an 'exploding' boiler again.

Landlord electrical safety check. The check was carried out and the onlt issue identified was a couple of gromets and blank covers missing from the consumer unit. they proposed to charge me £40 to rectify this. They also priced the fitting of smoke alarms which i didn't ask for as this was already arranged to be completed.

I contacted the company about the charge and thery said if they didn't rectify the fault the report would be a fail and if i fixed the issue myself they would retest and charge me for this at the full price again.

The parts required to rectify the issue cost less than a pound and only required to be pushed in place nothing technical.

I fitted these items myself and the property is now safe and complies.

Disappointed the company could't do a quick retest ie look at the inserted blanks without charging.

I now use a electrician who has a bit common sense and realises the importance of customer satisfaction which in turn leads to customer loyalty.
