Gary of Homeland Security installed an intruder alarm and motion-sensored cameras in my pad in 2020 following a very comprehensive security survey. He has been undertaking the alarm maintenance for me since. As Gary has done such a fantastic job, when we needed to increase the security for my parents’ house, we did not hesitate to consult with Gary. He attended promptly for the initial survey. When we needed further clarification about the proposal on the wired CCTV system and how the wiring would look, he was very patient in answering each question including coming back to explain in person for the benefit of my elderly parents. The installation (wired CCTV system, doorbell camera, and a security light in the garden) was done with great care (in freezing November weather) and exactly as described in the quote. Gary and his team are polite, very tidy (including cleaning up afterwards), and highly professional. The qualities of installations are outstanding! Following a recent break in at my house, I contacted Gary at Homeland Security and Investigations to request that he attend and carry out a security survey on my property and thereafter supply and install an alarm. Gary arrived on time as arranged and in a very short time was able to give advice on the type of alarm required and how it would best be installed and setup. Gary talked us through the various settings and gave us a demo. He guided us through the installation of the app on our mobile phones. We needed a brand new burglar alarm as our old burglar alarm was broken and hadn’t been used in years. We also wanted CCTV installed for peace of mind. We looked at Trusted Trader and came across Homeland Security & Investigations Ltd, who had 5 star reviews. We contacted Gary via email and he quickly responded. Gary offered to conduct a home security survey for us, free of charge with no obligation. He arrived bang on time and listened carefully to our wishes. He conducted the survey and gave us advice on additional security measures e.g. tidying up bushes and hiding keys, which was really helpful. Gary explained everything fully and promptly produced a full report for us, including quotes for the work we wanted. The quote was so detailed it allowed us to tweak what we wanted. We agreed to the quote and Gary scheduled the installation around our diaries. Again, Gary arrived bang on time with his colleague, Andy. Both of them were highly professional, hard working and knowledgeable – great sense of humour too, which is always appreciated. Even during the installation, they were flexible to make sure the disruption was minimal. They installed a new burglar alarm, sensors, security light and CCTV all at a competitive price and within the agreed timescales. No ongoing monthly fees, just a very reasonable yearly service. Their attention to detail was also impressive, ensuring outside wiring was tidy and inconspicuous. They even meticulously tidied up afterwards! They spent time demonstrating our new equipment, to make sure we were comfortable with it. A couple of weeks later, Gary got in touch to make sure everything was working well for us – it is perfect! We were really impressed with their level of customer service. We seriously can’t fault this company, they absolutely deserve their 5 star rating. Would use again/recommend in a heartbeat.

Gary installed a cctv system with remote access at an elderly relative's home for us.
Suggestions from his initial survey mean that the system is future-proofed if we need to upgrade it.
The work was carried out with a minimum of disruption to the house, and left so that you'd think no work had actually been done - very tidy indeed.

We engaged Gary (Homeland Security) to carry out CCTV installation to our pub in central Edinburgh. We were really happy with expert advice received at initial tender stage, the subsequent competitive quote/price, and the fact that - as we are a pub that opens at 12 noon - Gary was able to accommodate us and start work at 7 a.m. and finish at 12, even though this meant splitting the work over 2 days. Lastly, the work was completed to a high standard and we are delighted with the system installed. Would definitely recommend.
