Handyman Dan

Needed some fence posts replaced. Dan came out to look at it and quote for the job which was very reasonable. He always kept in touch and came out to do an excellent job which was really great. He is very respectful of the property and its owners.
I have more work which I would like Dan to do for me.
I recommend Dan very highly.

WE needed part of our garden fence and gate repaired after strong winds left the gate and part fence hanging. I emailed Dan and despite him living across the other part of town, he did not hesitate to have a look. He came the next day, on time, and gave an estimate and time it would take to fix, unlike other tradesmen who wouldn't come out for such a small job. The screws on the old post were rusty and were too tight to loosen, but Dan came along every morning to squirt WD40 to help loosen them. Dan dug out the old concrete, put in new posts and new concrete and repaired the fence and gate. I have to say, Dan went above the norm, did an excellent job, good price, came when he said he would and is very friendly and takes pride in his work. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Our disabled cousin has just moved to a new property in Penicuik and she needed help with a few things. We asked him to level a washing machine, the plumber who fitted it couldn't be bothered to do it! Connect the freesat to the tv and set up a new talking clock. He did this with no bother at all and we will contact him again without any hesitation for any work that may be required in the future. Excellent tradesman, nice personality and very respectful, no problems in recommending him at all, needed 10 stars not 5.

Absolutely outstanding service by Dan. I contacted him to my laminate flooring at short notice and he made time to do it in a short time frame so me and my children could move into our new home on time. Amazing job done floor's look amazing. 5 out of 5 for everything.

We used Dan to install new laminate flooring and hang/replace old internal doors, 2 of which were sliding. I was a bit nervous as they were expensive doors, but I needn’t have worried. He did an amazing job and was professional and courteous at all times, but also very helpful.
We’ve already booked him to come back for other jobs and won’t hesitate to recommend him.
It’s been great to find a reliable and more than capable tradesman in this current climate.

Dan put up a pergola with decking in the back garden. He took exactly what was in my head and made it reality. The price was expected for the product we received. We were looking at kits for similar prices but the quality of the wood used was far superior and believe it will out last any of the kits that we considered.

Bathroom work and more planned, very pleased in all respects.

Dan took on the huge job of renovating our kitchen and despite the many challenges our old house threw his way the end result exceeded our expectations. Friendly, tidy job site and great communications. No hesitation to use again and recommend to others ☺️

We had a new kitchen installed, this meant taking a walk down new floor laid and new electric circuit board for ring main replacement, walls and ceiling plastering. Daniel organised the all trades to do their part in a timely manner so to let him get his part in the renovation as a result we have a first class job done the kitchen looks amazing with it bespoke wall unit to fit the shape of the stairs in the corner of the room.

We had a fitted full length wardrobe built by Handyman Dan with sliding mirrored doors, internal drawers, with shelving along with extra hanging rails.From the initial consultation to the job being finished the professionalism shown was first class. The quality of the work carried out was flawless and we'd have been happy at paying twice the quoted price for such high quality work. Would definitely use again, and 100% would recommend.
