In October 2012 GW & JS Roofing LLP was established with partners Guy Wright (Guy Wright Ltd ) & Jason Staines (JAS Roofing Specialist Ltd), We’re delighted to say that things have gone from strength to strength and our new company was incorporated on 13th February 2014 and trading commenced from 1st July 2014.

We needed roof slates to be replaced, and a gutter re-aligned. After I left a message, Jason called me back the same day, and visited the next. He sent on the quote on the day of the visit. Alan and Frank completed the work over two visits (afternoon, and first thing in the morning), and left the area very tidy.

Very much my go to people. Have used them for years, at home and business premises. They are efficient, skilful , helpful, prompt, kind and always their work has been of a high standard. Just removed my chimneys and sorted out cracked harling on the shoulders.

We have used GW & JS Construction on a number of occasions eg for chimney repairs, leaking roof round a velux, and found them to be highly professional and efficient. They are also very responsive, polite and courteous, even offering free advice and signposting during survey visits if the problem does not require their services. We have used this company for roofing and construction issues for a number of years and would highly recommend them.

Jason (director) has always responded very quickly to my enquiries and any repairs have been carried out in a timely manner. I have found this firm to be honest and trustworthy.

Two chimneys reharled. All cast iron gutters replaced. Roof repairs carried out and roof tiles replaced as required. Skylight windows replaced with new ones. All gutters, pipes and soffits repainted.

I’ve been using GW & JS Construction Ltd for 10 years now and, as that would suggest, they are an excellent firm of roofers. They are reliable, straightforward and trustworthy. Jason always responds quickly and they does what he says he will unlike most trades nowadays. Their work is always of a high standard and in my opinion their pricing is fair.

This is my second time using GW & JS Construction Ltd for a roofing issue. Had a leak with an old conservatory roof right at the join of the house roof that was only going to get worse. Contacted Jason who had dealt with a roof issue in a previous property from a few years back and it was nice that he remembered me. We discussed the issue and he came round prepared with all the relevant tools. Jason was able to mend the potential issue the same day. He showed me the damage and repair with before and after photos and explained what was repaired and realistic expectancy of the repair. We discussed potential options with the existing old creaky roof which will really help with long term decisions.
I am absolutely delighted that there was no fuss, no mess and that I was able to use Jason’s services again as I was so impressed with the professionalism the first time. Complete piece of mind.

This is the second time I have used GW & JS Construction for chimney stack repairs and have found their guys to be courteous and helpful. I suppose with roof repairs only time will tell but my overall impression is that the quality and workmanship appear to be excellent. There 6 week lead time was adhered to which was also appreciated.

Chimney harling was patched, lead flashing maintained and chimney pot secured and made waterproof.
GW & JS Construction Ltd came to inspect the problem and gave us a quote very quickly. They went above and beyond in all aspects of the job and were swift in answering any queries. Job was well done. Thank you to a brilliant team.

The guys worked so hard in seriously unforgiving weather and did so without complaint. The workmanship looks great to me and I've been pleasantly surprised with how straight forward arranging the work and getting it paid for was. That little bit of extra attention to the admin side of things goes a long way and the guys are doing a great job - thanks!

I’ve used roofers for years but have finally found the best firm in Edinburgh. The service from them was excellent, having sorted all of the agreed damage plus a little more on closer inspection. Alan and Frank were professional and friendly and Jason followed up brilliantly to make sure the customer was happy. What more could you want?

My flat roof extension had started to leak so it was stripped back, insulation added and re-felted. There was some rotten wood underneath so that was all replaced as well.
Experience was very straightforward from timely quote to doing the work. I was kept informed throughout.
Guy and Wayne waited until there was a dry day to open up the roof which avoided any issues with rain coming inside. All mess was tidied up and roof looks great.

I'm very happy to recommend Jason and his team. They quickly identified faults with the chimney stack and rear guttering, both were leaking badly.Through photographs I could see exactly what needed done, this was discussed clearly with me and backed up by detailed estimated e mails.
The work was carried out as soon as possible. At all times my e mail was answered promptly. I never had to worry about anything.
Once finished the steps and patio were swept clear of all debris created and I was shown what had been done.
This was especially important as the house is owned by my elderly Mum who doesn't cope with repairs or tradesmen.

Repair to a storm damaged chimney stack.
Very pleased with service and courtesy shown by this company. The two guys who did the repair were friendly and courteous. With a repair of this nature I suppose only time will tell if good job was done but certainly appears to be the case.

Replacement of ridge tiles on our roof with a new dry system. We were very impressed by the quality of the work and professionalism of the team from GW &JS Construction. The work was carried out quickly and with a minimum of fuss. The site was left clean and tidy and we would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending their high quality workmanship.
