Gavin Stewart has laid a solid oak floor in my lounge with the assistance of Craig. First class service. Arrived early at 8 am and they just get on with the work. I had no clue about floors but I am wiser now. Took advice and it was laid meticulously cut, matched and measured. No easy task when the pieces come in different sizes. I have had bathrooms, windows, shed and fencing done. Highly recommended. You may have to wait for the best. Friendly courteous and unbeatable. Can I say it’s a joy. One window misted and being replaced no questions asked as still under guarantee. I am so happy.Thank you Gavin and Craig. I appreciate all yr efforts. Edges of the doors matched with the hall and threshold bar perfect too.

Gavin and his team fitted a new kitchen for me recently. Although a small room it required total gutting and rewiring before the fitting work could start. I was really pleased with the end result - they did an excellent job with fantastic attention to detail and high quality workmanship throughout. They turned up promptly every day, offered helpful suggestions and were keen to get my feedback on different options to ensure I was happy with the end result. They also tidied up very well after themselves. Refitting a room like this can be a stressful experience but I found it less stressful than anticipated due to the overall efficiency and professionalism of Gavin and colleagues.

We had quite a bit of work done in the house: complete renovation in the kitchen and bathroom, new architraves on internal doors and new engineered wood flooring in the hall and living room. We also added a few bits and pieces to the original quote like some outside lights and an external power socket, all of which was no bother at all.

We found Gavin to be a very hard working and straight forward to deal with. All of the subbies he used also did an excellent job and turned up when expected. Gavin was very meticulous and did a very neat job which we are very happy with. He was also a great help in dealing with the kitchen supplier when issues arose (like no feet on the kitchen units!). We recommend him very highly for the great job he has done.

We had new doors (internal and external) installed in our house, and were incredibly happy with Gavin Stewart’s work, from the first contact to the finished job.

Gavin was an absolutely brilliant joiner and managed to do everything I was hoping for in less time than he originally estimated. I wanted a frosted glass door to replace my existing bathroom door as well as inputting shelves and a new door facing with beading into an alcove which wasn’t in use previously. Gavin was so polite and tidied up after himself and was super reliable with communications and estimates. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for carpentry/joinery in Edinburgh.

GAVIN IS VERY ACCOMMODATING AND HAS COME OUT ON SATURDAY MORNINGS TO DO SMALL JOBS SUCH AS FITTING LOCKS ON BATHROOM DOORS AND INSTALLING A DOOR IN MY NEW CONSERVATORY. I HAVE FOUND HIM TO BE A VERY PLEASANT, RELIABLE JOINER. HE COMES UP WITH SOME GOOD IDEAS, HIS CHARGES ARE REASONABLE AND HE IS SOMEONE THAT I RELY ON TO ANY NECESSARY JOINERY. I HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING HIM.

Had skirting done in the past so had new doors fitted. Found the doors we wanted for the house and at a good price. Made sure we got exactly what we wanted and left the area spotless after the work was done. Helped give me information about extra things I was going to do around the house as well.
