Energize Electrical was established to provide a comprehensive service to all domestic and commercial sectors.
We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.
This means that our work is regularly assessed to ensure that it meets all the current regulations as well as the industry standards. It also gives our customers, reassurance and guarantees that if for any reason work does not meet the correct standard it will be corrected under the terms of the scheme.
We will constantly develop and enhance our skills with up-to-the-minute industry information to ensure that we’re able to apply maximum expertise to every project that we are part of. Cambel and Jordan did a great job getting our newly purchased flat up to EICR standard. Nice lads, provided thorough checks and showed their work afterwards, and hoovered up any mess created from wires lifted/drilling etc in the flat. Only downfall was due to the work done by previous home owners which meant our front light couldn't be sorted in the same appointment, so now it doesn't switch on. Helpfully though, they stayed to do a walk-through of the flat for future work that we might do down the line and I'm confident in obtaining a quote that covers what's needed. Great communication with Energize Electrical too, including reminder texts and emails and follow-up call from Neil once the work was done to check in.

Energize Electrical recently installed some outdoor string lights along some fences in my garden. The service was excellent from start to finish. On contacting them by email, I received an acknowledgement email followed the same day by a telephone call from Neil to discuss my requirements. An appointment was made just a few days later for one of the team, Ross, to visit, access the job and provide an estimate. The lights were duly installed, again within a short time, and with full input from me during the installation about placement etc. Unfortunately some time later there was a slight issue with the bulbs within the set, a manufacturing issue, but that was sorted out promptly, professionally and efficiently. On every visit, I was given a day and time when the engineer would arrive. Ross who installed the lights was very professional and impressive. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Energize Electrical and will certainly use them again for any further electrical work.

Exceptional work and timely completion. The team arrived on the agreed day and finished within the estimated timeframe. After completing the work, they ensured everything was put back in place and thoroughly cleaned the area. There was no indication that any work had been done on the property. It's worth mentioning that I work from home, and there was no interruption to my calls or workload. The team understood and accommodated the needs of remote work by isolating only the necessary circuits and keeping the noise to a minimum. I strongly recommend them and will definitely consider them for future projects.

I had an assessment to prepare for an EICR completed. I initially spoke to Neil on the phone who took the time to listen and explain what needed done. On the day, Campbell and John were punctual, polite, respectful and communicative; Campbell answered my questions and explained the results of the assessment clearly and comprehensively to me.

We had a succession of lighting problems and had lost confidence in our house electrical system. Energize took the time both to listen to our issues and to explain a way forward. Energize quickly provided a very acceptable quote and kept us well informed throughout the whole process. Our engineer arrived on time, explained what he would be doing and carried out the work in a polite, professional and efficient way, identifying and fixing the underlying problem. He was also happy to discuss a related electrical change we wanted to make and recommended a very attractive solution. We couldn't be more pleased. Energize are now our automatic first port of call for any electrical work.

We used Energize to install and test a new EV charger. Right from the initial contact, the communication was excellent and every effort was made to accommodate diaries to complete the job as quickly as possible. The team arrived on time and did not leave until satisfied that the job had been completed. The team were polite and efficient and left the workspace clean and tidy before departing. Cannot fault the service. Neil, in particular, was excellent and moved things around to fit with our schedule. Fantastic - 5 stars - and will be using them for future electrical jobs.

Neil and Campbell are absolutely brilliant! They’ve done multiple jobs at my place and they’re always professional, on time, and they look after things as if it were their own house. The way they run their business is truly an example to all business owners; the put the client first and always go out of their way to make sure the job is done right. Even small things like remembering your name and what work they’ve done for you makes you realise they truly care about their customers. They never pressure and always ensure you’re happy with the work they’ve done. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!

We needed rewiring and fitting of sockets into the wall (which had previously been mounted onto directly onto furniture units). We also elected to move out light switches so we could reverse the way the doors open.
Communication was excellent from Neil, and we knew exactly what was happening and when.
The team doing the work were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing, and we are very pleased with the standard of work.
Overall we are very happy to recommend Energize.

Second time using Energize and would only go to them for any electrical work needed. Quick and easy additional smoke detector installation. Ross was punctual, made minimal mess and cleaned everything up, doing a great job yet again. Makes my life easy with Energize doing the job! They even helped out getting a plasterer they trust lined up to smooth over the patches. Would always recommend!

Energize Electrical installed an EV charger for us about 18 months ago and it has worked flawlessly since then. However, it stopped working after a smart meter installation by a different company.
Neil was very helpful in advising how to deal with the other company and, eventually, they agreed to take responsibility for this. Energize Electrical then responded very quickly and got our charger up and running again. First-class service - highly recommended.
