Energize Electrical was established to provide a comprehensive service to all domestic and commercial sectors.
We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.
This means that our work is regularly assessed to ensure that it meets all the current regulations as well as the industry standards. It also gives our customers, reassurance and guarantees that if for any reason work does not meet the correct standard it will be corrected under the terms of the scheme.
We will constantly develop and enhance our skills with up-to-the-minute industry information to ensure that we’re able to apply maximum expertise to every project that we are part of. Have recently had a few jobs completed by Campbell and the team. They were professional, punctual, patient and considerate. They kindly answered any questions we had, and Campbell even returned to complete additional work (that came to light in a safety inspection) on a Friday (his day off) so as not to keep us waiting!
Arranging the work was easy as Neil is very quick to respond. He was especially kind to fit in the work at short notice as it was time dependant and he worked around our tight schedule.

The work we had done was the replacement of a bathroom switch and light fitting.
Our overall experience of using Energize Electrical was excellent; we were kept informed at every stage, from inspection of the work required, followed by a swift quote and then the very efficient completion of the work. Campbell did an excellent job! His work was efficient, thorough, and he left everything neat and tidy. I recently moved into a property and contacted Energize Electrical to help. The property required a surge protection isolator, hardwired smoke and heat alarms, repair lighting circuit with a poor earth connection and repair water and gas bonding supplies not earthed. They were very professional and thorough. Neil kept me informed throughout and Campbell ensured that the above was all completed in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Energize Electrical. Was looking for a new plug socket to be installed so submitted an enquiry via website having read previous recommendations on Trusted Trader. Neil got back to me the next day with a quote, and work was carried by the next week. Very happy with the quality of work, price point and communication throughout. Would not hesitate to use Energize again.

I had an electrical survey carried out ahead of a flat purchase. This was extremely helpful to inform me of the condition of the flat to reduce unwanted surprises. Later on I had Energize Electrical fit a new distribution board and smoke alarms. Neil's communication was super throughout, and the work was done to a high standard with no mess.

Energize Electrical were very communicative, professional, and friendly throughout the process of working with them: booking their services, on the day, and following up.
We had originally asked for a larger scope of work on an older property we’d purchased but Neil recommended beginning with the EICR and going from there - as someone not at all familiar with electrical work I appreciated the honesty, and he explained the reasoning at each step.
On the day of the EICR Campbell and Jordan were fantastic. They showed up promptly and again communicated everything in a way easily understood. When it became clear that we’d need more extensive work done (a full rewiring) Neil phoned me not 10 minutes after Campbell and Jordan left to help coordinate next steps. Although they didn’t have the availability to do a rewiring until the new year, Neil not only recommended some other providers to us, but got in contact with one and urged them to give us a call so we could get it sorted as soon as possible.
We couldn’t have asked for a better service from Energize Electrical and will absolutely be keeping them in mind for any future electrical jobs.

Having now been settled in our new flat with many different types of workers coming and going, I can confidently say that Energize Electrical is a gold standard in Edinburgh.
They are communicative, polite and professional, exceptionally clean, helpful with advice and flagging of concerns/potential issues/risks to the quality of work, and overall genuinely help the customer along the way.
I've found that many tradespeople make assumptions about what the customer knows which can lead to broken communication; others tend to only worry about the task in front of them - this can feel disjointed and lead to disappointment, but Energize Electrical helped us connect the dots with what was needed and made for an overall pleasant experience. I wish more trades had the etiquette of Campbell, Neil, and Ryan! My only wish is that they had other trades people beyond electrical that could help us with other work on our flat!
Will use again if needed, they are definitely on my rec' list.

Neil’s ongoing communication was excellent and the quotation and invoice followed through seamlessly
Campbell and Jordan turned up on the agreed date and time and quickly and efficiently set about replacing the faulty lights
My only slight reservation was that with sensor lights there are settings for time, twilight threshold and range and these were not fully explained or explored, but in fairness I sourced these items with which they were unfamiliar
