This company was tremendously polite and accommodated me as I'm a landlord living outside of the country and renting out my old house. We had a bit of a communication issue in the beginning between myself, the tenant and the painter which delayed the start date but after we got back on track it was all plain sailing. The company even sent me a number of photographs of the work in progress and finished result since I could not inspect it in person. This was very much appreciated. The tenant is happy with the work therefore I am happy. I'd definitely use this company again in the future.

Our sash window became suddenly stuck in a dangerous open position.

I called Edinburgh Professional Decor and managed to reach Slavic directly. He and Michael came by the same day. They promised to do what they could, but were also open about the possibility of the job being outside their expertise.

As it happens, they were able to get the window closed, fix the issue and show that it was no longer stuck, and for a very reasonable fee. They explained exactly what had happened and the needed next steps by a sash window specialist. I’m very relieved, and very happy with the service. Five stars!

Job: Full preparation and painting of duplex apartment comprising walls, ceilings and woodwork and application of fresh sealant to window frames.

The service provided by Slawek and Michal was exemplary - both in terms of materials used, quality of finish, attention to detail and their courteous and professional manner throughout the four day job.

Slavek and Michael stripped old wallpaper from kitchen ceiling. Prepared then plastered ceiling. Sanded ceiling then painted ceiling and walls. The sanding was virtually dust free ! Unbelievable.
EPD team are professional, punctual, polite, considerate and very tidy workers, who were very respectful of property. They took great care in masking around kitchen units and protecting worktops, floor and other fixtures and fittings.

We had sitting room and hallway stripped and sanded,fire wall meshed for a smooth wall also walls plastered to a very high standard, coving put on both ceilings. Ceilings painted and walls papered.The work was done to a super high standard. The guy’s were polite, friendly and professional at all times. We are beyond happy and are calling on them for further work to be done.

Slawek and his team did an amazing job from start to finish. They covered up all the floors, lights, furniture etc carefully on day 1, and then got cracking on a very thorough job of preparing walls/wood for paint and paper. The prep is worth a mention: they didn’t just paper over what was there — instead, they carefully skim-coated the messier walls (it’s an old flat), and patched up lots of places where there was old damage. The result is like a whole new house and I’m super happy with the work they’ve done. Communication was easy and comprehensive and the pricing was fair and transparent. I hired EPD to repair my water damaged kitchen ceiling. After stripping and cleaning everything was sealed with mold treatment. Mesh and several layers of plaster gave me a solid new base which they prepared with beautifully smooth fresh primer ready for painting.
The team was on time, polite and very clean. All kitchen units were masked off and covered.
They worked all day for 2 days and finished on time as promised. Very impressed!

EPD Decor painted external stonework, gutters and downpipes, front door and other external woodwork. I would use them again and recommend them to friends. The quotation covered the whole job and was broken down as requested. They carried out the work to a good standard and when originally stated. They were very pleasant and tidy and they also dealt with some unforeseen additional work that arose during the job.

They worked hard and came to us with solutions to any problems they encountered e.g. how to prepare and fix an unexpected patch of damp. They were very thorough in their work- taking windows off to make sure to paint the whole frame and getting into the gaps - the neighbours wanted their details when they saw their approach and abilities. They did a great job for a good price.

Slawek carried out a range of repairs, plastering and decorating on a damaged internal ceiling with cornice, new plasterboard walls and external stone shop front. He is very professional, prompt, a pleasure to deal with and most importantly carried out all work to a very high standard, finding no obstacles in his way.
