Iain installed our boiler nearly 12 years ago now and has serviced it ever since. This last job was to repair a faulty pressure relief valve and Iain did it with his usually efficiency. A nice guy to have around too! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

As a result of recommendations on Which Local and others we asked Iain to give a quotation for a new boiler. This was quickly done, estimate accepted and date agreed for work. He had pointed out that it was going to be a difficult job to fit the new boiler, flue and condensate pipe in the confined space, kitchen cupboard, occupied by existing boiler. Iain’s approach to the work was exemplary, he carefully dismantled the existing boiler, then realised to get access to the back of the boiler that the worktop and cooker would need removing. This was all efficiently and neatly done keeping us fully informed. The boiler fitted perfectly in the end, flue and condensate pipes located correctly and fully working. A great improvement on our old boiler which was noisy and inefficient and I believe not working correctly for years despite the Gas Board’s efforts. Iain is an exemplary workman who is quick, tidy, clean and efficient and above all explains clearly what he is doing and how he is going to solve problems. I agree wholeheartedly with the “unreserved recommendation.”!

Fitted a new boiler for my 84 year old mum and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company. Didn't try to sell anything other than the boiler; very trustworthy, respectful, clean, tidy workers. Emails were responded to in a timely manner and work completed to a very high standard. Thank you, wish more trades companies were like Edinburgh Heating.

Our boiler, while it appeared to be functioning, was making unusual noises and we contacted Edinburgh Heating to determine the cause and at the same time perform a routing maintenance. They were responsive in setting up an appointment and kept us informed on the expected arrival time on the scheduled day. Iain resolved the issue, performed a comprehensive maintenance check and gave us an opinion on the state of the boiler. We will certainly use this company for further maintenance needs and the eventual replacement of the boiler in a few years.

The hot water from my 18 months old combi boiler was intermittent, so I determined that a service might rectify this issue. The engineer who originally installed the boiler did not fulfil the appointments I made with him to do a yearly service, so it was recommended to me that I contact Edinburgh Heating.

Cain, the heating engineer, came on the requested day, and was thoroughly professional, approachable, and he informed me of everything he was doing. Once the service was completed, Cain showed me the boiler working fully, and the hot water was there. He advised me that the head of the flexible tap was probably blocked up, and that that was contributing to low water pressure from the head, and told me how to clean it. I did so, and the water pressure was /is back to normal.

The next morning, the boiler didn't fire up, and showed an error code. I tried pressing re-set button button, to no avail. I then called Edinburgh Heating, and spoke with Iain, the owner. He advised me that he would speak with Cain, and get back to me. Cain arrived at my door, and identified the problem (a small pocket of air that was causing flame to not ignite) and repaired it. All within 10 minutes.

That was 6 days ago, and everything is now working as it should.

If I were allowed to, I'd give 10 stars.

Iain comes and checks our boiler for us every February, and gives us complete peace of mind. We know it's going to work perfectly for another year. Edinburgh Heating provide very reliable and friendly service. They have been doing annual services for us since 6 years ago, when they swiftly replaced our old broken boiler at short notice just before Christmas.

After our boiler failed we contacted Edinburgh Heating for a quote. Iain came out and gave us a very reasonable quote for a new boiler installation. Luckily due to a cancellation Iain and Cain were able to come and do the work quickly. The work was done quickly and efficiently. They did a great job and gave some great advice on setting up the boiler so it would work efficiently and save us a few quid on the energy bills. I have nothing but praise for the service I received and would highly recommend Edinburgh Heating and will be using three for my boiler servicing from now on.
