Knowledgable and punctual, good service

New boiler, new ventilation system, gas upgrade & whole system flow improvement: Our property is old and the design complex; our heating system is tricky and the "new" regulations for ventilation we knew were going to be a challenge. From our first interaction with Iain we had complete confidence that he could do the job and had a vision for what was possible. He and Cain worked tirelessly to solve the complexities they encountered, using their own obvious skill and reaching out to other experts for advice. Cain was a delight to have in our home & despite some very messy work, left his space spotless every day. We are now warm for winter, have buckets of hot water and already seeing the benefit of the upgrade in our gas usage and bills. Huge thanks to you both!

This was an annual boiler service as it was Edinburgh Heating who installed the boiler. I get a reminder when the service is due, it is booked in and I get updates on the day of the service of their arrival time. Great service, great workmanship. Just a great company to deal with.

Last week Iain of Edinburgh Heating came to perform the annual service of my boiler.
He installed the boiler 10 years ago and has come back every year to do the annual service.
If I need him at any other time he always comes when he says he will, which is invaluable.
Iain is a very competent, pleasant and reliable tradesman who will always be my no 1.

Boiler annual service for another year. Brilliant service as always

The hot water from my 18 months old combi boiler was intermittent, so I determined that a service might rectify this issue. The engineer who originally installed the boiler did not fulfil the appointments I made with him to do a yearly service, so it was recommended to me that I contact Edinburgh Heating.

Cain, the heating engineer, came on the requested day, and was thoroughly professional, approachable, and he informed me of everything he was doing. Once the service was completed, Cain showed me the boiler working fully, and the hot water was there. He advised me that the head of the flexible tap was probably blocked up, and that that was contributing to low water pressure from the head, and told me how to clean it. I did so, and the water pressure was /is back to normal.

The next morning, the boiler didn't fire up, and showed an error code. I tried pressing re-set button button, to no avail. I then called Edinburgh Heating, and spoke with Iain, the owner. He advised me that he would speak with Cain, and get back to me. Cain arrived at my door, and identified the problem (a small pocket of air that was causing flame to not ignite) and repaired it. All within 10 minutes.

That was 6 days ago, and everything is now working as it should.

If I were allowed to, I'd give 10 stars.

We have used Edinburgh Heating since 2021 when they installed a new vaillant gas boiler and they have serviced it annually. We have been very pleased with them. Communication has been excellent, the work has been carried out efficiently and tidily. They are a family company and show a high level of care towards their customers.
