When we thought about changing the floor covering for our downstairs rooms the prospect of the upheaval filled us with dread - until we spoke with Mark.
Rather than confirming our fears of chaos and a string of problems he got us to focus on the lovely wooden floor that would run continuously through the rooms. The process would belong to Mark and the team, the outcome would be ours.
Despite some dreadful personal misfortune for our expert fitter Scott he allowed us to get on with our routine whilst transforming our hotch-potch floors into a seamless expanse of bright, warm and inviting oak.
Anything that needed our input was asked and we always felt that everything was possible.

We had such a positive experience with the Edinburgh Flooring Shop. We wanted our living room and hallway done, and Mark was really helpful and knowledgeable when we were picking our wood panel. This was followed up with excellent communication and prompt arrangement of dates for measuring and fitting. Craig and Sam fitted our floor over a span of three days and we couldn’t fault them at all - they were punctual every morning, worked hard all day, and were friendly. It’s always a relief when you have people working in your home who are professional and respectful of your property and neighbours. I am absolutely delighted with the Woodpecker Barley Oak flooring that Craig and Sam laid throughout the bottom of my house. They are a great team and are very highly skilled at their job. Had a Ted Todd Husk floor installed by Mark and his team. Service was truly excellent. Once installation was arranged, it needed to be shuffled due to other traders needing to delay. Mark was incredibly flexible and, on installation day, I asked if it could be speeded up and another fitter was quickly despatched to the job. The floor is really beautiful. Post-installation care is also exceptional - another trade damaged the floor post-installation and Mark and team fixed this for no extra charge. Mark then called a few weeks later just to ensure that we were happy with the overall job. "Delighted!".

Mark and his team laid engineered wood in my two bedrooms. They were extremely professional, helpful in choosing the right wood, on time, and did a great work without leaving any mess behind. My floors look amazing and I am so pleased. I will certainly use them again, when the floor in the rest of the flat needs replacing.

The team replaced the flooring throughout the whole 4 bed house, added underfloor heating to the kitchen and dining room, painted the whole house, feature walls, skirting, door frames and doors, and some electrical work. Stevie, Scott and Jamie are true professionals. They all did an amazing job.

Edinburgh Flooring replaced rotten joists in my sun room and then replaced the laminate flooring in the sun room and the living room with a wooden floor. I am very pleased with the quality and the finish of the work. I had struggled to find joiners willing to take on the job but Mark and his team was totally unphased by it all. Superb fitting of a hard wood floor in a large bedroom replacing old carpet on top of broken original floor boards. Edinburgh flooring also went above and beyond by stripping, replastering and repainting the ceiling before fitting the flooring. Darren from the Edinburgh Flooring Company mended, sanded and varnished the original pitch pine floors and the newer pine floors in the living rooms and kitchen of our listed property. It has completely transformed the rooms and looks spectacular.

The quote was reasonable and was exactly what we were charged (no hidden extras), the work was done on time and very efficiently and Darren was both professional and very passionate about his work. He wanted us to be happy with the result, and we were!

Edinburgh Flooring have installed Ted Todd Oak flooring and skirting in main living room and hall over underfloor heating. The whole process from initial enquiry to final fittings has been trouble-free despite changes and adjustments on my part and the required 'pandemic' delay to installation. Mark did an on-site visit before finalising the contract. The on-site team were skilled, experienced and efficient. They sought clarification of how I wanted the details done - joins to carpet, holes for speaker cables, recessed alcoves/presses/cupboards etc. I am happy that they will be returning to fit flooring/skirting in an upstairs bedroom too. The only reason for a 4 for value for money (rather than 5) is because I find this index difficult to assess. I am entirely happy for the end result.

Two employees, Craig and Sam spent all week working very hard doing the job. As my existing floor had subsidence they ensured that they levelled it with screed before laying it. They also had to shave off part of the bottom of all the doors leading off the area to ensure they operated with ease and they took great care to ensure that the sockets were not compromised . Very happy with the quality of material and workmanship.

This is the second time I have used Edinburgh Flooring and I was very impressed with their professionalism and the care they took.
Darren who did the work clearly took pride in doing a good job, and worked really hard, meaning a big job was done well and within a short time frame. It was a pleasure to see someone with genuine enthusiasm for his work and the benefit for the customer is the high quality of finish from the desire to do things properly.

We had three quotes for the work and very glad to have chosen Edinburgh Flooring again. At the quote stage, they came off best as they took time to look at what work was to be done and gave confidence they'd be able to do it properly.
