Paul replaced lights above the worktop in the kitchen. He arrived when he said he would, carried out the work efficiently and left everything tidy.

This is the second time Paul has done work for us and we have recommended him to friends who were equally delighted with what he did for them.

Veteran electrician Paul Foley at East West Electrical installed a fan extractor in my small shower room, that was being refurbished, to prevent moisture building up on my newly painted walls.

His experience and skills quickly shone through, both with the more expensive humidity fan type he advised was necessary to avert the problem in my confined space, and his judgment of it’s necessary closer positioning to the shower than I would have liked, (wasn’t as aesthetically pleasing to the eye) to ensure my problem was solved. He was spot on with his judgments and we’ve had no moisture appear on our walls since, for which I’m very grateful to him.

He is also flexible, with a CAN-DO attitude, no task is too big or too small for him; he turned his hand to other tasks for me too , such as fitting an electric LED mirror and some studio lights.

He is a first class operator who was recommended to me as “trusted” by a friend and neighbour. I can vouch for this first hand, as I found he can be trusted to deliver excellent quality work with a superb attitude and was critically able to do so on time and to budget. Recent experiences on my showerroom project has taught me that tradesmen with this combination of skills and experience who - crucially - can be trusted, are a rare find.

Two small jobs. The first one was changing a ceiling light (I was unable to do this anyway owing to my age and physical disability) and the second one was, for me, a complicated repair to a cabinet light.
These were achieved in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, which made the visit a happy one for me and my wife.

The installation was completed in 1 day and the rooms involved were left clean and tidy. The personnel involved arrived promptly and completed the work quietly and efficiently. I was looking to get interlinked fire alarms fitted in my flat. Paul provided great service. He gave different options for the work done. Was friendly and helpful and did the work to a very high standard. Really happy with the work thank you.

We needed an outside light replaced after a previous electrician from another company failed to install it correctly and the junction box filled with water.
Electrician turned up within the time slot promised, carried out the work as requested and left us with a working light.
One hopes that this has been done correctly this time: time will tell. But in the meantime I would happy to use EWE for future work.

Summary: Overall I am happy with the rewiring work East West Electrical did, and found Paul to be friendly and helpful. I think that communication could have been better, and that more effort could have been made to ensure the property left in a reasonably tidy condition.

The price I was quoted was on par with other quotes I got. Ultimately I decided to go with these guys because they gave me the most confidence during their initial visit to my property. They took time to understand what it is I wanted and explained everything to me clearly. I would have given a higher rating had I received a bit more communication about the work itself, once we agreed to go ahead with it together. I was not told the date that work would begin, and turned up at my flat one day after work to find that it had - without me having had the opportunity to move my personal items first. This was a bit frustrating as my items were delicate. There were a number of days where I expected them to be in the property but no work took place, and it wasn't made clear to me why that was. Once work had finished, the hallway carpet (which had been pulled up to allow access) was not put back. It took me a while to find where the carpet had been put, eventually I found it on top of a wardrobe in a bedroom. Also, rubbish was left in the flat for me to remove, which was unexpected as other tradesmen I have worked with have taken rubbish out with them.

That being said, when I wanted something amended, it was done with no hesitation. They were also very willing to put in extra effort to ensure my kitchen floor wasn't damaged, which I am grateful for. I am happy with the quality of the electrical work and trust they did a good job despite my complaints.

Paul and a colleague carried out some rewiring in our old 1930s semi. Our expectations were set that this would potentially be pretty messy.
The job was pretty challenging, but the guys dug in and did the necessary with the minimum of mess. Upgraded fuse box and changed various sockets too.

I cannot recommend them enough for quality of service and they were one of the lowest quotes. It took no time at all to complete the task. He then guided me on best bulbs/lamps to use to replace halogen as well as sort my wobbly light in hallway. Did two of the easy jobs and said he needed to take advice on a fan issue in the kitchen. Phoned him two weeks later. He said he had not had a reply from his contact. Thereafter I have heard nothing. If you want the easy jobs done he’s your man. This is now 9th June.

East West Electrical replaced stair lighting within a block of flats , and went out of their way to slot us in before the holiday period knowing the dark stair is a safety hazard.
I have used them several times and have no hesitations in recommending them.

The spotlights in our shop went off on Saturday last week, and I was desperate to get them fixed as it's the busiest time of the year for us. The shop needed to look at its best. However, I didn't expect to find someone to fix the lights so quickly, especially after phoning a couple of other local companies without getting an answer . I asked if he could also supply the light as I would not know what was the best/right option. He asked for the size of the garden and gave me a date and time he could come a week later. The light is fantastic, 500% better than the one which was replaced and it exactly covers my garden thus avoiding any problems for my neighbours. All done without me having to do any research, the price was fair. I have no hesitation in recommending East West Electrical and will use them again if/when I have a need.

Job was to run armoured cabling from mains board in house, under house and through garden to provide power to garden room. Paul came round and sized the job and worked through how best to do it with me. Quote was reasonable. East West did a professional job on the day and i am happy with it.
