Darren helped us refurbished the kitchen and other minor repair works around our one bed rental property. We think he is a trader that we can count on and turns out we are right. The works is finished to a high standard within the agreed timeframe, and Darren went beyond to helped us fix small things and disposed old furniture. Would highly recommend his team!

Darren quoted me £500 for half a day’s work. It seemed a lot but I was keen to get the work completed as soon as possible. I was happy with the work. It became clear that further work was urgently needed. Darren said that he would come to give me a quote to take on this extra work. Twice we organised for Darren to stop by, and twice I was kept waiting in all day only for him to not turn up. Darren came across as a really friendly man, but I wouldn’t use him again.

DS Joinery have fitted a brand new kitchen for us and have also done other work around the house. All done on time and at the time stated the job would be done.
The quality of work and the professionalism of this company, is what makes me want to leave this recommendation today.
Nothing appears to be too much trouble and all at a price that means you won't need to look for anyone else to do your Joinery work.

Darren replaced my bathroom floor and skirting as well as changing out my grotty tiles for wet wall (including some re-plastering) and replacing the shower screen and bath covering.

Although it took a while to lock in a date (understandable given Covid!) it was well worth the wait, and completed in a day.

Super friendly, always took the time to explain everything, and I'm so happy with my new bathroom wall and floor !

Will be going to Darren when I finally get round to doing my kitchen!

DS Joinery expertly resolved several urgent issues in our tenement building across two flats. They responded at relatively short notice during a busy period, assessing and communicating well prior to starting the work.

Darren helped us with a full kitchen refit earlier this year after moving into a tenement property. Before the work was carried out he viewed the kitchen to ensure he knew what we wanted and to provide an accurate quote.
Darren was professional and diligent in carrying out the work. When problems arose he consulted with us regarding the potential solutions and the other trades people he used for tiling etc, were of a similar high standard. His dedication for customer satisfaction and pride in his work was evident from start to finish.

Our utility room was badly kitted out. It had a rag bag of mismatched units, an illogical work flow and a washer-dryer that was awkward to access. We found a magazine photo of a design we wanted and Darren worked closely with us to realise the concept, making adjustments as necessary to deal with the limitations of the space available. He sourced all necessary units and accessories and arranged for the tiling to be carried out so that it was, for us, a one-stop shop. His own joinery work was first class. As a busy one man operator, he will usually not be immediately available and his responsiveness to emails is less than immediate, but a text usually works well and once started he sees the project through diligently. He was easy to get on with, a tidy worker who removed everything from site, leaving us able to immediately enjoy our transformed utility room. Highly recommended. My shower was replaced and made water tight.
The work was done to a high standard and I would recommend this trader.

Darren hung six doors, silenced a very noisy staircase, built and fitted doors for five access hatches. Excellent work. A very professional and friendly service. Now looking at additional work that he can help with when he is available.

We have used Darren before for small and bigger jobs. On this occasion Darren was doing our en-suite and a fantastic job he has done. Darren’s eye for detail is second to none and he went out his way to ensure the work and finish was of only the highest of standards.

Work included but was not limited -
Wet wall, frame work, floor preparation, ceiling lowered, building & installing pocket door and finishing touches.

We would highly recommend Darren and will always be the first person to call when looking for a joiner and would happily wait till space in his calendar was free.

We had a complete bathroom makeover and delighted with the results and workmanship.

I got my bedrooms and hallway new Ceilings done, new oak doors, Stairs way edging done and also new Skirting and facings and a cupboard done.
Darren done fantastic work and completing the work in stages and it was worth the wait on quote being done to having everything noted down and attention to detail.
Also has a plasterer Alex which was handy for doing additional work and quote.

Both Darren and Alex thank you for helping renovate my home. My partner and I are happy.

DS Joinery was recommended to me by my Letting Agent.
My flat’s bathroom flooring was badly water damaged by an undetected leak and required replaced.
Darren worked with my spec and helped produce an insurance claim that covered part of a total refurb.
The two quotes were honest and competitive.
The job involved stripping out and replacing everything, that’s everything! The whole thing was completed very efficiently within a week, including some little finishing touches first thing on the Saturday morning before I visited. I was totally pleased with the result and my tenants totally love it.
There are no issues, great service and excellent work completed by DS Joinery. Highly Recommended and will use again.

Darren recently did a kitchen worktop and splashback replacement, fitted seven new internal doors with hardware, laid attic flooring and installed a loft ladder with custom hatch in my daughter's flat. I'm very pleased with the results and his workmanship, the worktop and matching laminate splashback is absolutely stunning, and I'm impressed too with the top quality materials and doors/handles he used too (Howdens).

All the work was completed on time in a week as promised, and while there were a few little snags and challenges along the way - as there always are in any job - Darren found a way to sort it out. He is always happy to deal with questions and was very helpful to me with some other issues too. There was a problem with the loft ladder sticking a few days after the job was completed, he was happy to come back and fix that too.

I can highly recommend Darren and would be happy to use him again next time I need a joiner.

Darren replaced all of the windows and doors in my house and also relaid my kitchen flooring.
Throughout the process Darren offered expert advice and recommended practical solutions to my house maintenance issues. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt supported through the process. Whilst carrying out the work Darren was tidy and efficient and worked flexibly to suit my availability. I would thoroughly recommend Darren to anyone and I will definitely be using him again myself.

Darren removed our old kitchen, lowered the ceiling, fitted the new kitchen and carried out extensive repairs to the walls and floor of our kitchen and utility room. He also custom built cupboards in our utility room to match those in the kitchen.
Darren did an excellent job, going above and beyond our expectations. He was keen to make sure that the kitchen was finished to the highest standard. Darren is a genuinely nice guy and we would highly recommend him and will use him again in the future.

We've worked with Darren before so he was our first choice when we were organising a new front door for our communal stair. We did get a quote from another joiner but Darren's was the most competitive and we felt it really represented value for money.
He did the work in the timescale agreed and completed it with no issues. He doesn't see problems - only solutions. He works unsupervised, cleans up afterwards and his attention to detail is amazing. Our neighbours are all delighted with the result and one family already have plans to contact him again about some further work in their own flat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
