Compass Roofing Ltd was established by Scott J Miller, Managing Director, in 1989. Based in central Edinburgh, Compass Roofing Ltd are well equipped to service Edinburgh and throughout the central belt. The company has an excellent reputation in both private and commercial sectors, from the smallest roof repair to roofing contracts valuing £250K.
Our roof work is carried out by our team of qualified tradesmen and CITB trained apprentices. All our Operatives hold current CSCS cards relating to their trade.
Scott J Miller Managing Director is responsible for estimating, purchasing, and health and safety, whilst Kenneth F Hunter Contracts Manager and Gary Moir Estimator takes care of insuring all contracts are carried out to our usual high standard. The company recently became qualified installers of Alwitra Single Ply Roofing Membrane. This material comes with a 20 year latent defect guarantee, that gives clients piece of mind. Compass Roofing Ltd pride themselves on their honesty and professionalism and ensure that their clients are provided with information about the work they are paying for. The firm believe that they are now in a very strong position to increase their client base, whilst still being able to provide the excellent service they are renowned for.
All our work can be insured, guaranteed and fully protected by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Limited.

Leak in flat roof dormer and several tiles replaced on roof.
Very efficient and tidy. Explained what they had done and took pictures to let me see the work . I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again .

We had a small leak in our roof caused by a number of slates being our of place.
Compass looked at the job when they said they would, and they actually sent us a quote!
When we accepted, they arranged the scaffolding for access, got the work done quickly and quietly, and left everything looking neat and tidy.

Wooden fascia on porch replaced, gutter re fixed to fascia & painted. A bit of a delay initially to get a quote as they were busy but once I confirmed job the work was carried out very quickly & satisfactorily. Appeared expensive for work needing done but fairly comparable with other quotes.

We were pleased with the advice given to us about our roofing needs when the estimate was carried out. The work was arranged very quickly.
The roofers themselves were great to deal with, and hard working.
When we had subsequent issues with our roof after bad weather, the work was again arranged & carried out very quickly.
The office is clearly very good at communicating customer's needs to the roofers. This made us feel like our satisfaction was important to them. we will definitely use them again for our roofing jobs.

Called out for emergency repair work (Sunday evening) on a roof access hatch during high winds. Callout charge wasn't cheap but they arrived quickly and did the best patch that could be done in the situation.

We had an issue with a leaking roof, Compass were able to come out and provide a quote for the repairs which was very reasonable. It was easy to coordinate and communicate with Compass throughout the entire process. A very helpful and professional experience.
