Compass Roofing Ltd was established by Scott J Miller, Managing Director, in 1989. Based in central Edinburgh, Compass Roofing Ltd are well equipped to service Edinburgh and throughout the central belt. The company has an excellent reputation in both private and commercial sectors, from the smallest roof repair to roofing contracts valuing £250K.
Our roof work is carried out by our team of qualified tradesmen and CITB trained apprentices. All our Operatives hold current CSCS cards relating to their trade.
Scott J Miller Managing Director is responsible for estimating, purchasing, and health and safety, whilst Kenneth F Hunter Contracts Manager and Gary Moir Estimator takes care of insuring all contracts are carried out to our usual high standard. The company recently became qualified installers of Alwitra Single Ply Roofing Membrane. This material comes with a 20 year latent defect guarantee, that gives clients piece of mind. Compass Roofing Ltd pride themselves on their honesty and professionalism and ensure that their clients are provided with information about the work they are paying for. The firm believe that they are now in a very strong position to increase their client base, whilst still being able to provide the excellent service they are renowned for.
All our work can be insured, guaranteed and fully protected by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Limited.

Heavy winds had disturbed the cement skew of our cottage, meaning it needed to be replaced. The team from Compass worked through some very cold days to rebuild the skew and now it looks good as new.

I have used Compass for roofing and general plasterwork on the outside of the house. The quotes received are detailed setting out what will be done along with the cost, the team are courteous, thorough in their work and clear up everything after. The work is of a very high standard so I will certainly use them again and recommend them.

I have been very impressed with the responsiveness of Compass, always quick to respond to queries and get us quotes in a timely manner. They are professional and trustworthy, and are always happy to carefully explain the process of the project. Which is very helpful when it's hard to understand roofing work! The work they have done has been to a high standard.

Compass are so efficient and reliable I would highly recommend them. They have always been prompt with site visits and supplying quotes and are extremely helpful and courteous. It's been a great comfort having them on hand to maintain our Victorian tenement roof and their rates seem extremely reasonable.

Compass roofing carried out an extensive re-roofing of our property where the roof was in a pretty poor state. It could now qualify for the smartest roof in town with its new guttering, lead and zinc work and slates all now held smartly in place with new copper nails. The photos they supplied bore witness to a first class job. They were a lovely bunch of lads and the lady who runs the office was a total gem responding quickly and efficiently to any questions I had, A first class firm, would recommend them 100%.

The team that worked at our house were reliable friendly and hard working.

Friendly and helpful in the whole process from quote to installation. Installation went well and job was finished to high standard. Support staff went out of their way to help out with paperwork I needed to get agreement from neighbours for shared cost. I plan to use them for any future roof issues but given the high quality of the job they did I don't imagine that will be necessary for a long time.

5th floor tenement gutter & slate defects requiring scaffolding tower. Efficient and professional approach. Happy to talk on site through defects and proposed solutions . Gave good advice on possible future repair risks to watch out for. They did what they said they would do in a sensible time frame.

Four different jobs, two roof repairs and two stopping leaks through a wall. One involved a lot of rebuilding and coordination with another company, which worked very effectively and efficiently. We have kept using Compass because problems with our old house are assessed and solved, the work is done extremely well and quickly, with minimal disruption and everyone who comes to the house works hard and is no bother to have around.

Damaged chimney removed. Very slight problem with what looked like leaking cement....difficult to explain....but whatever it was rain has eventually washed the “ stain” away. I was quickly reassured this would not have compromised the roof re storm proofing.
