I have dealt with both father and son in this family business upon many projects during the time I practiced architecture in Edinburgh. Each of these projects was carried out to the highest standards and without any problems. Recent experience with Linda, who has now capably taken the helm, and her loyal team has shown that the family knowledge, capabilities and values are certainly continuing and Bolton remain my 'go to' roofer.

Bolton Roofing replaced my entire house flat roof. They provided a very detailed quote, offered a 20 year warranty on the felt, and carried out the work exactly as they said they would. The finished roof is a work of art. Very neat and clean finish with an exceptional attention to detail. They also provided excellent customer service as I asked many many questions prior and during the work!

We had Bolton Roofing install new gutters on the front of our tenement building, as well as replace the cement skews on the front and back, and carry out some other slating and re-pointing work. They were professional and courteous throughout, and very accommodating with carrying out site visits and answering questions from myself and the other owners in the building. I would recommend Bolton Roofing to anyone requiring this type of work, because of the thoroughness and quality of the work, as well as the speed and helpfulness of their customer service.

The recent work carried out was a replacement ventilation shaft on the roof of our building, it was a bit of a tricky job as any rainwater was falling through the ceiling onto the ground floor of the stair, Bolton Roofing pinpointed the problem and carried out the repair for us as quickly as they could despite the heavy snowfall we've had, we have used this company many times before and always found their work to be 1st class and the roofers very pleasant men.

The job was to re-point the stone walls and repair of chimney heads of our victorian house. The work was carried out with care and attention to detail that was very much appreciated. Bolton Roofing Contractors re-slated our roof about 25 years ago and they carried out only some very minor repairs to the roof whilst the pointing work was going on which is testament to their skills and professionalism that our roof is still in good order after this time. I am confident that the pointing work will be every bit as long lasting.

Replaced the roofs and fascias of three dormer windows, having previously replaced the rhones on our house. Robin and his team really understand how roofs work and their work is done to a high standard. From what we discovered when the old dormer roofs were removed, it's obvious that roofers sometimes cut corners: with Bolton Roofing I feel confident that everything is done as it should be.

Re‐secure slipped slates where required.
Clean out rhones where required
Bag all debris test pipe is free‐flowing upon completion
Dismantle & remove existing cast iron roof ladder which was very old & visibly corroding.
Cut off existing defective skew to the west most facing roof slope only ‐ north open gable.
Replace any defective slates along the skew line
Fit new DPC membrane soakers to each slate along the skew line
Reform skew using 3no individual coats cement mortar.
Approx 4.1lm
All the above was carried out to an excellent standard and completed uninterrupted, by two diligent & friendly employees.

For 22 years they have been keeping our new town roof in order . A family business with limited manpower so one needs to book in advance but EXCELLENT workmen and always very responsive and highest quality work
