John is a great team leader as well as an excellent joiner. His team is professional and work so hard in all unbelievably winters tough weather. The neighbours even commented that they had never seen such hard workers.
We also had a great architect Tim and John and Tim kept us up to date throughout the several months our complete reconstruct was in progress. Between them they recommended the shops to go to for all the internal fittings and they managed the logistics so there was never a major holdup. This was a six figure budget project and was costed to the Nth degree with any changes being also costed and accepted. Of course such a long project can’t be pre-timed exactly and the couple of weeks overrun was not unexpected. Minor snagging after a few weeks was efficiently attended to.

After 2 weeks John and his excellent organised team of skilled tradesmen completed a full renovation of our living room. We had a fireplace and fire removed, new ceiling and sunken lights installed plus extra sockets fitted and moved, room re plastered with new doors facings and skirtings fitted. Also new flooring fitted from the living room into the hall and bathroom. The work carried out has been done to an excellent standard by his employees who were ALWAYS on time and extremely courteous, also very tidy. We would highly recommend and will definitely use again.

We used Balmoral building and joinery for a partial garage conversion. Communication before, during and after was first class. John was able to address any queries as we went through the process. My wife and I approached John and his team with plans to completely renovate the entire upstairs of our home which included knocking down walls, building partitions, installing a new bathroom, installing windows and a lot of insulation. It was a massive job, especially the rip out, but straight away the attention to detail from John and his team was impressive.

John's was a competitive but not the cheapest quote however his communication was clear and reassuring. Staged invoices were issued as per the estimate, with no surprise costs. John and his team recently carried out a refurbishment for us including new kitchen, bathroom, flooring, lighting, radiators, rewiring, redecoration, rotten joist replacement, etc.

They were punctual, open to changes/additions, kept us updated, made helpful suggestions, took time to talk things through, dealt with snagging quickly, finished to a high standard and cleaned up well.

John and Sean his joiner are both decent nice guys who do a brilliant job. While you could maybe get the work done cheaper, you could also get scammed by fly by nights which has happened to us in the past.

You get what you pay for with this firm; an established reputable team who are highly professional with an excellent standard of workmanship and won’t let you down.

John and his team replaced and insulated the ceiling in a kitchen-diner extension, adding downlighters. Workmen turned up when they said and completed the work expeditiously. Cleaned up and left no mess.

Our project was relatively straight forward - we wanted to split our garage into two with one half becoming a new internal store room with a door put in linking it to the kitchen. We sent out a number of requests for this work to be done in late February. John was one of the first to respond and I sent him the approved building warrants. He followed this up with a visit to discuss specific points before submitting a quote. We had a number of quotes and John's pricing was competitive but not the cheapest. We gave him the business as he had bothered to view the job (others did not) and his availability to start in May matched our requirements.

John started on the date promised and worked away diligently, just coming to ask us when things needed clarifying. He not only built our internal store but also laid down our new flooring that matched the kitchen. We were very impressed throughout with John's demeanour, professionalism and keen attention to ensure the job was completed to a high standard.

We would not hesitate to recommend John for building work.

Create a kitchen diner by taking down a load bearing wall, making good and fitting new kitchen, flooring etc. This work was carried out to plan and the final result was excellent. The workers involved were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. John Stanton managed the job very effectively and the contractors he brought in were all very good. He was very helpful in taking on board extra requests we made and was always clear about the costs. His communication with us and the team was commendable.

John is a very professional and friendly man. He built an end section of a old fitted kitchen. Matched materials where possible and it is looking fantastic. Although brand knew it has blended in well because of the matching of materials. I would definitely recommend John again and have already asked him to do another job. When you trust a tradesman it gives you such a good feeling.
