Business Information
With over 30 years experience in the Domestic Appliance Industry, I started my career with an Edinburgh firm, ACE Domestic Appliances. After 10 years service I moved to work with National Homecare (Servis UK) and was approached by Alan Wallace, of Wallace’s Domestic Appliances to take a position with his reputable company.
Having worked 18 years with Wallace’s I have now branched out to set up my own company, BR Domestic Appliance Specialist, based in Midlothian – covering Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Billy arrived when he said he would and carried out the repair quickly and efficiently. Machine was repaired 2 weeks ago and seems to be working fine.

I had a visit by Billy to help with my washing machine. He had a look and told me I could replace my appliance or the part that was faulty, although both alternatives would be expensive. He then went on to say how I could get more life out of my appliance without expense. I am a great believer in "The Extra Mile" in customer care and Billy certainly did that. Plus, he is a piper!
I have no hesitation in recommending him unreservedly

After being mucked about by the manufacturer for a washing machine repair I came across BR Domestic. Billy gave me a fair quote over the phone and was able to squeeze the job In despite a busy schedule that day. Arrived exactly when he said he would, very pleasant and washing machine sorted. Top notch service.

Identified and rectified a washing machine inlet hose leak. I have used this firm before for an excellent cooker repair and the engineer arrived this time within the hours stated. He soon identified the problem and helped clear up the mess of leaked water. I would definitely use this firm again for any domestic appliance repair and have already passed on his details to some neighbours in the nearby flats.

Washing machine repair - Billy was great, he answered to arrange appointment despite being on holiday, he arrived on time and in line with covid guidance. Really professional and helpful and gave great advice when it was really too expensive to repair but pointed me to a solution that worked.

Aged cooker was losing heat and needed new seals. Mr Rutherford managed to source replacements and promptly fitted them. Not cheap but efficient cheerful service and much cheaper than buying a new cooker!

Billy has fixed our washing machine twice (two separate and unrelated problems). Both times, he proved friendly, super reliable, highly experienced and very reasonably priced. I always go to this trader, I use him for all my appliance repairs, to date he has repaired oven , dishwasher & washing machine.
He always answers calls & voicemails promptly, very reasonable prices. He arrives when he says he will. He is polite & respectful of property.
I called him at 9.45am this morning to book a repair, he was near me & said he could come after his current job, he has been & completed repair all by 11am. That is 5 star service.

My Mum’s element in the top oven had fallen down. I contacted Billy, on her behalf, to repair. He was pleasant, upfront about cost and very good natured with my mum.
As the work needed a part to be ordered, he contacted me to explain this and check the cost was ok before going ahead with the work.
The oven was fully repaired the next day.
