Business Information
With over 30 years experience in the Domestic Appliance Industry, I started my career with an Edinburgh firm, ACE Domestic Appliances. After 10 years service I moved to work with National Homecare (Servis UK) and was approached by Alan Wallace, of Wallace’s Domestic Appliances to take a position with his reputable company.
Having worked 18 years with Wallace’s I have now branched out to set up my own company, BR Domestic Appliance Specialist, based in Midlothian – covering Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Washing machine repair - Billy was great, he answered to arrange appointment despite being on holiday, he arrived on time and in line with covid guidance. Really professional and helpful and gave great advice when it was really too expensive to repair but pointed me to a solution that worked.

Aged cooker was losing heat and needed new seals. Mr Rutherford managed to source replacements and promptly fitted them. Not cheap but efficient cheerful service and much cheaper than buying a new cooker!

I phoned Billy yesterday to see if he could have a look at the latch in my washing machine. He came round today to fix it, and was very reasonably priced. I would not hestitate to recommend Billy, and use him again should I need any other repairs. Thank you!

Billy has fixed our washing machine twice (two separate and unrelated problems). Both times, he proved friendly, super reliable, highly experienced and very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend him; he will - no question - be my first port of call again in future. He provides a great service.

I always go to this trader, I use him for all my appliance repairs, to date he has repaired oven , dishwasher & washing machine.
He always answers calls & voicemails promptly, very reasonable prices. He arrives when he says he will. He is polite & respectful of property.
I called him at 9.45am this morning to book a repair, he was near me & said he could come after his current job, he has been & completed repair all by 11am. That is 5 star service.

My Mum’s element in the top oven had fallen down. I contacted Billy, on her behalf, to repair. He was pleasant, upfront about cost and very good natured with my mum.
As the work needed a part to be ordered, he contacted me to explain this and check the cost was ok before going ahead with the work.
The oven was fully repaired the next day.
