Business Information
With over 30 years experience in the Domestic Appliance Industry, I started my career with an Edinburgh firm, ACE Domestic Appliances. After 10 years service I moved to work with National Homecare (Servis UK) and was approached by Alan Wallace, of Wallace’s Domestic Appliances to take a position with his reputable company.
Having worked 18 years with Wallace’s I have now branched out to set up my own company, BR Domestic Appliance Specialist, based in Midlothian – covering Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Billy is multifaceted, we called him out late tonight and he came out that night. We had a couple issue and he had no issues with sorting it all.

AO delivered and were supposed to install. The "engineer" told my wife it wouldn't fit and took the machine away telling us to buy an Indesit. I phoned Billy and was told a Hotpoint is the same as Indesit. He came as soon as my machine was returned and fitted it at 50% less than the other guy. First class.

Billy is such an obliging person.
He turned up when he said he would, was respectful of my property and was a very efficient and tidy tradesman. He is clearly very knowledgable and sourced the fault in my Siemens oven which wasn’t what I originally thought it to be. He tested it thoroughly afterwards to make sure everything was working as it should be.
In today’s world of very high prices I don’t think you could get a better priced job.
Highly recommend in every way.

Great reliable service. I asked Billy to replace the seal on my washing machine as it had become mouldy. Billy arrived when he said he would and replaced this in no time at all, with a genuine part. He also gave me advice on how to prevent this happening in future.

I had a minor but worrying fault on my cooker hob (ignition firing when not in use) and needed it sorted before going on holiday as I wasn't keen on leaving it sparking when I was away. Billy phoned me back within a few minutes of my panicked message, came out and sorted it straight away - all on a Sunday afternoon as well. A big relief that it's done, and he was very pleasant and efficient to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

I needed help with the overall working and instructions of all my new Zanussi appliances in a new kitchen . I called several businesses to no avail but William was fantastic , happy and willing to help . He came around the next day and even left his number and time if ever needed when in need . Excellent service from BR Domestic! This was the first number I called and service could not have been better. Prompt attention, diagnosed and repaired the washing machine and even told me, in advance, what the charge would be. 5 stars all the way!

Washing machine had been leaking quite badly. I called BR and he was able to come out to look at the machine that day and found the problem. He ordered a new seal and came the next day to replace it. Service was excellent, very helpful, would highly recommend and would use again.

Phoned on behalf of an 87 year old neighbour, whose lower fan oven had stopped working.
Was talked through a quick fix, as it had gone into standby mode, and problem sorted in minutes. No charge!

Called Billy as my elderly Mother's oven caught on fire and I hoped it was fixable. Billy turned up the very next day as agreed and resolved the issue straight away. Source of the issue was fat on the grill element. There was absolutely no overselling, replacement of parts that were not required etc, Billy simply burnt off the fat and the oven is back to fully working.
A very honest and dependable service I will certainly be using again.

Our washing machine was repaired by Billy.
He responded to an initial text immediately. He came to do the job when arranged and completed the repair expertly.
He is professional, reliable and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and I have done so in the past. Everyone who has had him to do work speaks very highly of him.
